Great service and very vegan friendly - Edit
I would give the Forge five stars, if HappyCow would let me. I went around 8:30 and unfortunately learned that the kitchen closes at 8, though they make pizza up until the bar closes. Thankfully, the owner was extremely hospitable and made baba, hummus, and the vegan cheeseboard even though the kitchen was closed. Everything was extremely good, with the cheeseboard being a real standout. I also ordered the vegan Fun Guy pizza, and wasn't disappointed with my choice.
Read moreThe Forge is set up for a social dining experience. Most tables are situated between couches, though a few high top tables are present. It creates a unique environment that is conducive to buying a bunch of dishes and sharing them amongst a group.
My personal experience was centered around great food, extremely friendly service, and an appealing environment. I highly recommend the Forge if you're looking for vegan/vegetarian options in Pittsburgh.
Pros: Variety of menu, Service, Decor
Cons: Quite warm inside due to the pizza oven, Kitchen closes at 8

Great Day Night! - Edit
We went here for the first time for a belated Valentine's Day Date in February. We had the hummus and pita bread. The pita was fluffy and warm and amazing. After we finished the hummus, we ordered the eggplant. It didn't come with pita. I think it should have because it was more dippy but also delicious. I asked the server for pita and he did charge extra for it. I ordered the mushroom pizza and thought he made a mistake and gave me non-vegan cheese. I double checked and it was indeed vegan. Amazing pizza. The cocktails were cool too. Neat intimate little seating vignettes. We will return.
