Loved this place

The Bam bam cauliflower was super flavorful, loved it. The cauliflower tacos were spicy and super good. The house salad was a nice big size and delicious. Would definitely come back. I had some green tea with honey and that was really nice. Great food and service. Loved it all.

Pros: Vegan options clearly marked, Multiple vegan items, Food tasted delicious

Best a Vegan can Expect in Such a Small Town

I went there with another vegan and 4 omnivores. There were several dishes to choose from, that were either vegan or could be made vegan. The cauliflower appetizer was the bomb. My son really liked their house made veggie burger (sans cheese). He said it was a bean patty that “didn’t squish all over the place” (which is definitely a comment on mine) and tasted good. My yellow curry was really yummy, rich with coconut milk and fresh veggies.

no vegan options, rude staff

I would not say this pub has any vegan options, and the staff are not helpful or accommodating in the slightest. their menu lists the “bang bang cauliflower” wings as vegan (if you don’t get any dipping sauce), but when I called to inquire, the server told me they are tossed in an egg mixture. the only other “vegan option” are several non-vegan burgers they say you can make modifications to be vegan (ie: sub the patty and remove ALL accompanying ingredients without any options for substitutions). the server on the phone sounded annoyed by my questions and was totally unwilling to assist. this pub should not be listed on this app at all, unless you just want french fries n’ ketchup.

Cons: incorrect menu, grumpy staff, no vegan options!

Yum

Good spot, good vibes, good food. My fam ordered coconut curry bowls, and loved. I got the house salad, it was loaded with veg!

A bit disappointed

We visited on March 7th at lunchtime. I’d heard that there was a good vegan curry, but it isn’t served at lunchtime. That left me with several ‘burgers’ which are basically whatever the meat burgers are subbed with a bean burger and all cheese, bacon and dairy infused sauces omitted, but the same price. There was of course salad (it was snowing, so I really wanted something hot) and I think one bean taco. We would’ve ordered the special polenta as a starter but it had cheese in it, so that was a no go. Overall a little disappointed that I paid $19 for a bean burger with very few toppings and fries. So many meat and dairy alternatives out there, it wouldn’t be hard to ramp up those bean burgers! Or how about beyond meat burgers?

Pros: There were a few vegan choices, Good choice of beers, Menu does list vegan items. Ask though if not sure

Cons: Expensive, No alternative toppings for the vegan burgers

Good food, good beer.

I had the refried bean tacos and they were tasty! Sort of small in portion, but enough for a lighter lunch. I loved that everything was labeled (Veg) for vegetarian and (V) for vegan. They had an assortment of local vegan beers that were very tasty as well!

Pros: Very well labeled

Cons: Smaller portion

Great venue with great food

I’ve always liked this place and fortunately they also have some yummy vegan options. The curry with portobello was a favourite even before I went vegan.
