Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant and bar. Vegan options are not labeled on the menu but the staff can assist you. For example you could get tofu pho, fried oyster mushroom, red quinoa salad with chickpea patty. Also check for rotating specials. Open Mon-Sat 5:00pm-10:00pm, Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Great tofu meal in Newport!

I ate at The Fifth Element for the first time last weekend and I was impressed. All of the staff was friendly and accommodating. While vegan options aren’t labeled on the menu, the staff know what is and isn’t and the chef is flexible.

I had the Tofu Pho. The serving was generous and the tofu was cooked like I had never had it before and it was great. The atmosphere here is hip and they have a large selection of drinks. It’s a bit pricey in general but pretty average for dinner in Newport. I’m glad to see more Newport restaurants offering veg options and I will definitely be back.

Pros: Multiple options. , Friendly staff. , Fun atmosphere.

Cons: A bit further from down town. , Only offers dinner.
