Here every Sunday. - Edit
Love this place, Sunday lunch is made for it. However seating soon runs out nowadays so honestly, I'd sooner you not go. Lots of room upstairs (thankfully) and the beer is second to none. Apple crumble with (gorgeous) vegan ice cream also served!
Pros: Always at least 3 vegan options, Avoided use of 'proper' on menu, Good value, traditional
Cons: Parking can be awkward

Good tasty food - Edit
I visited the Fat Cat for a pie and pint a week or so ago and I was not disappointed. The pie filling (I had mushroom and tarragon) was delicious and the pie came with generous portions of mash and peas. The pastry was a bit unexpected (almost like a crumble) but overall it was very enjoyable. A nice little pub which I will happily visit again.
Pros: very tasty, good value, nice atmosphere

vegan comfort food - Edit
Old cosy pub with beer garden out the back.
Three vegan options on the menu. Enjoyed Mash topped aubergine pie for a fiver and they've got Erdinger on draft.

Delicious Vegan Pub Grub - Edit
The Fat Cat is a great pub, with a fantastic selection of beers and a food menu which has vegan options clearly marked on it. Whilst I was in Sheffield last week, I came here twice for food with friends, having a different pie each time. The food came in good sized portions and the pies were really good! At just £4.50 for a plate of real, hearty pub grub, you can't go far wrong.
Pros: Great vegan pub grub, Great beer, Friendly, warm atmosphere
Cons: Not 100% veg, Food only served until 8pm on weekdays

A nice surprise - Edit
I stumbled on The Fat Cat while poking around the Kelham Island Quarter, and was very pleased to be able to get a vegan meal. There were two choices, a curry or mushroom pie -- I chose the pie. A very traditional pub lunch. The pie crust was rock hard, and the veggies overcooked, but it went down well with a pale ale, and the atmosphere was nice and friendly.
Pros: Vegan meals... in a pub!, Nice atmosphere, Reasonable $$
Cons: The usual limitations of a pub lunch

... - Edit
the best thing about the fat cat (beer aside) is that it is the only place you can come on a sunday and get a vegan roast dinner. correct me if i'm wrong on that though. the food isn't amazing (namely the fact they use some tinned veg, ugh) but it is nice, and relatively cheap. the pies they make are good. in sheffield you have to take what you can get i think. also they do one or maybe 2 vegan desserts (crumble normally) with vegan custard.
Pros: vegan sunday dinner, nice atmosphere, decent enough food
Cons: soggy veg!!!!!!

Fantastic food in a fantastic pub. - Edit
This pub is a real gem, and the food is outstanding. they always have 2 vegan meals on the menu. On my visit they had a courgette and aubergine pie plus some kind of bean stew. The pie was gorgeous and came with roast potatoes and plenty of veg. Only £4.20 as well. Well worth a visit.
Pros: Fantastic food, Good value
Cons: Out of the way
