You had me at bookstore cafe.. - Edit

Toadstool Bookstore is a fabulous bookstore for browsing. Now in their new-ish location right off of downtown Keene, they have added Farm Concessions Cafe. First, the cafe owners are very friendly and their customer service is amazing. We were a party of five adults and two kids and they tended to our every need. Second, the menu selection is wide. The three vegans in our party had plenty of options to choose from and the omnis (particularly one older meat and potatoes gentleman) found something they loved too. Parking is super easy in the bookstore lot and it was easy to find a table in the cafe. We enjoyed our meal (and dessert..the cafe has a decent dessert case selection) and loved being able to wander into the bookstore after our meal. A great addition to downtown Keene!

Pros: Lots of vegan selections, Great customer service, A dessert case with many vegan items

nice quick stop - Edit

Swinging through Keene on my way home from VT. This place is located in the bookstore. I had some trouble finding it at first. The food was tasty and is exactly what I wanted for a quick sandwich on my way home.

Pros: tasty

Cons: hard to find

Cute but only okay - Edit

Interesting location in a bookstore. Very good selection of drinks, including kombucha on tap.

We got chili, a vegan Reuben, and the black bean/sweet potato wrap. My partner enjoyed the chili and Reuben, but I could only eat one bite of the wrap - it was decidedly not fresh tasting, and as much as I hate wasting food, I threw it out.

Pros: nice location, kombucha on tap, all vegetarian

Cons: Some food tasted off

Wonderful vegan/vegetarian food! - Edit

We've eaten a couple of times at this little food truck, which means either eating in your car, taking it home, or sitting on the grass. That being said, the food is great! I especially like Amy's quesadilla, which has black beans, fried mushrooms and onions, sun dried tomatoes, and homemade Veganaise in a wonderful whole wheat wrap. They have lots of salads, soups, chili, weekly specials, and use locally produced breads and vegetables. They're vegan, vegetarian as a lot of dishes use cheese, and can do gluten-free too. Prices range from $5.-9.00. The chef is very friendly too and will adapt to your taste. For a quick delicious takeout meal, this place is highly recommended!

Pros: Great food, Good location, Friendly chef

Cons: No place to sit down
