Creative Vegan Options - Edit
The Fairmount offers several vegan options in all menu categories, including dessert. In addition to the vegan options, several items are vegan available. We had the vegan available caprese flatbread to start. For no extra charge (unlike other restaurants) they modified the cheese to be vegan. The red sauce and crust were really good and the flatbread overall was delicious. We also tried the Homestyle Vegan Mac and the Vegan White Bean Burger on grilled naan. Both were very tasty and the presentations were appealing. We shared the vegan strawberry rhubarb tart for dessert. The crust and strawberry rhubarb topping were yummy. The rhubarb ice cream was a bit on the icy side instead of creamy and in our opinion just tasted like plain coconut based vegan ice cream. However, it was still an enjoyable dessert.

Excellent Apps - Edit
Five whole appetizers that can be vegan without taking half the dish off. Highly recommend the pretzels and cauliflower wings. Great cold dish as well. Mains were good, not great

We ordered the 3-serving grilled veggie taco, Tofu Binh Mah and a veggie flatbread. All were delicious. Since we were splitting each item, the staff were accommodating, and brought them out one at a time. All the food was delicious.
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a university off campus community. It is reportedly packed on the weekends. The bar is prominent feature. We were there on a Sunday, and it got a bit noisy by 8:00 p.m. If you're going for food, go when it's quiet.
Great seating options. Nice fireplace. In a basement location of an old retail building.
We had to ask for the vegan menu; they don't bring it out with the regular menu.
Servers were great.

Happy we went! - Edit
I had the roasted Brussels sprouts and Vegan Mac n Cheese. Both were tasty. The vegetables on the Mac n cheese really took the dish to a new level. Everyone else with me ate non-vegan options which they enjoyed. I have to say the vegan apple crisp with vanilla bourbon ice cream was phenomenal- one of the best (maybe even THE best) vegan dessert I’ve eaten thus far. Service was good and owner even came out to talk with us - he was very personable and attentive.

Vegan menu has not changed in 4 years - Edit
Tasty food. Worth of checking, but menu has been the same for the past 4 years (at least). I had really high expectations when they introduced the vegan menu, but cannot eat same food all the time.

I had no idea this place had so many vegan options that they have a full menu! I got the vegan Mac and cheese and it came with some super flavorful tofu and some roasted veggies. It was the best vegan Mac I’ve ever had so I’ll definitely be back for it. My friend got a kale salad which was also very good. Drink of course were fantastic as well. This place has changed ownership and it’s a whole new establishment so check it out if you haven’t been here in a while.
