Good, not sure if title is correct. - Edit
I believe the Emporium is the name of the whole plaza, we ate in the upstairs terrace area! There were many non-vegan options on the menu, and it appeared, though I didn’t confirm, even some meat available, though it was almost all vegetarian, and almost everything could be made vegan. Delicious breakfast and smoothie!

Delicious food on the upstairs terrace - Edit
I’m a little unclear about the setup here, to me it seemed like a two-level food court called the Emporium with a few different vendors (El Búho is one of them). We ate at the cafe upstairs - Cafe Bakery Ixchel - so my review is for that.
Read moreThe upstairs area is a cosy covered terrace without proper tables, it’s made for lounging around on the floor with cushions, low seats and tables. As we were getting ready to leave in the late afternoon a live reggae band set up and started playing too.
The menu is huge and varied with almost everything vegan or with vegan option. Prices were typical for a tourist restaurant, around 55-75Q for mains and Sol beers only 10Q too😉My partner got a chick’n burrito and I ordered pasta with creamy cheezy macadamia sauce and garlic bread which I thoroughly enjoyed. Very generous portions and the creamy pasta was balanced with sautéed veggies, lentil patties, and topped with cashew parm.

Pros: excellent food, large portions, nice chillout space
Cons: a little cramped when the band set up

Really good - Edit
Veggie place with tons of vegan options, many can be veganized. All day breakfast, mock meats and a couple of types of vegan cheese available. The portions are decent. I've ordered vegan mozarella sticks and savoury waffles, greasy of me I had to ask for a box to take half of it away 🤭
Read moreIt was a bit difficult to find at first -there are multiple vendors so head upstairs. Menu in English but the staff does not speak English. Would love to visit again.

Wow - Edit
Amazing vegan brunches here. All vegetarian, there is the option of egg/honey but you can clearly get vegan versions with lentil tofu (which was delicious and meaty) instead. The savoury breakfast waffle was absolutely stacked and the macadamia cheese inside the waffle was so so good.

No art apreciation - Edit
Went to participate on the open mic they advertised that the musicians could have a free drink however when I asked about it the bartender made a bad face and told me that they wont give any free drinks to the musicians so basically they want to have a free show for their customers and wont be grateful for the live music, no apreciation for the artist at all

Delicious & cozy atmosphere! - Edit
Lots of delicious vegan options, and a variety of cacao! I had the quinoa chili and the savory waffle and they were both so good, and felt really nourishing. I also tried the golden mylk which for me was a bit sweet. They make it with maple syrup instead of honey if you ask them.

Nice - Edit
We ordered two burgess. They had a good taste but the patty was so soft.. we couldn’t eat it with both buns. We had to eat it like an open sandwich 😬 the potatoes and beet tah came with it was tasty.
