Hidden Gem! - Edit
North Wales needs more vegan eateries like this one!
Read moreWe popped in today on the way home from visiting family, and so glad we did!
Very busy, but we were seated & the food was served quickly. We had the Gorilla Filler Burger, with sweet potato fries, a fully loaded hot chocolate (yum), and a Refresher Smoothie. All fantastic, and great sized portions!
The cakes looked amazing too. Profits go to a Gorilla Charity!
Pros: Vegan business , Great choice , Profits to Animal charity

A hidden gem! - Edit
This place is definitely worth a visit despite it being a little out the way and there not being much else around it. So much choice including burgers, cauliflower wings, sandwiches, buddha bowls, milkshakes, smoothies and much more! Vegan BLTs and cauli wings were fab. Lots of cakes and sweet treats available on the counter to eat in or take away. Staff really friendly and lovely welcoming atmosphere.

Absolute gem! - Edit
So happy to find a fully vegan café not too far from where we were staying for the week at Lyn Gwynant campsite, ended our holiday with a fantastic meal trying as much as we could fit it! Lots of delicious options for food (savoury and sweet), drinks (coffees, milkshakes, fresh juices and alcoholic options) and vegan soaps, clothing and other lovely bits and bobs available to buy. Highly recommend a visit if you’re visiting anywhere near the area!

A firm favourite! - Edit
We don’t visit often enough really, but when in the area we always try to stop by!
Read moreThere’s literally something for everyone, whether you fancy something a bit junk-food like or something cleaner.
I usually go for a freshly pressed juice, and a coffee, my partner loves their dessert shakes!
Burgers and wraps are great, the fries are insane and the cauli wings are a must try! There’s also plenty of cakes and sweet treats.
They also have plenty of info about their work, with T-shirt’s and hoodies on sale too, and the staff are friendly!
Also, they do allow dogs inside😄
Pros: Plenty of vegan options , Nice coffee and juices , Dog friendly
Cons: Street parking can get busy ish

An excellent vegan cafe/restaurant. Lovely food, fantastic service, very friendly staff.

To drink we had a turmeric chai latte and a Popeye's passion fresh juice. Again, both really lovely.

great meal with good sized portions! - Edit
amazing to see a fully-vegan restaurant this far into north wales! i had the blt (delicious), but you HAVE to get the cauliflower wings – they’re huge, dripping in sauce, and so delicious.
Read morethe drinks were very special too. one of my party had a strawberry milkshake and the others were constantly hounding to sip at it hahaha.
luckily penrhyndeudraeth was on the journey home from porthmadog, but even if you have to travel to get there, i’d still recommend it! incredibly friendly staff, and a cute, little welsh town. about 10 different people stopped by to pet our dogs to and fro the restaurant. 😁 (oh, and, speaking of which, they’re dog friendly.)
Pros: big selection of drinks, all delicious, reasonably priced, dog-friendly
Cons: i wish they’d made their own bacon for the blt!!

The most fabulous restaurant - Edit
We had their Chinese take away last night for our Valentine's dinner and oh my! It was delish. We had (vegan)chicken balls in sweet and sour, pancake rolls, hoisin (vegan)duck with pancakes etc and pepper chips. It was amazing. My husband remembers eating all these things for real, real chicken and duck and he said it tastes the same, but not so oily, not so gloopy. Like healthy Chinese. I don't remember meat, but I remember good food and this is good food. There was so much, we had it for lunch too. We also had the organic carrot cake. That was just fabulous Darling 😘💗. If you haven't tried this restaurant, whether you are vegan or not, try it. It will not disappoint

A chance find - Edit
We came across Eating Gorilla by chance when walking the Maentwrog Circular Route and dropped in for lunch the next day drawn by the amazing sounding menu. As regular visitors to North Wales we were more than a little surprised to find a vegan restaurant. The food more than lived up to expectations; the cauliflower wings in particular were amazing. Really friendly staff and very reasonably priced. We even bought the tee shirt.

Delicious vegan food at a reasonable price - Edit
Lots of amazing vegan dishes and cakes. We were spoilt for choice! We had a really good cooked breakfast which was great, but we nosed at the lunch menu and it looked really nice as well. Lots of imaginative dishes - no hummus or falafel in sight! Breakfast was £5/£6 & cakes were £2.50/75. Wish we had a place like this at home! There’s also a little shop to get your vegan essentials/cleaning products/incense etc.

Delicious food and scones - Edit
We visited The Eating Gorilla in September 2020 on our way to Portmeirion and what a find! I love eating in vegan places as no worrying about what you can and can't have. Good selection of savoury and sweet items and one of the biggest and best scones (with jam and cream) I've ever had.
