Signature junk food

We had our first meal in Amsterdam here and we were very pleased with it. I had the original burger and my GF had the Seawharma. We both enjoyed the food even though she doesn't really like seaweed. Staff very friendly and helpful They prefer payment by card. We've been here on Friday evening and it wasn't crowded at all.

Pros: Original and tasty, Friendly staff

Delicious vegan "junk" food

The food is amazing, I had the dutch weed burger with chips which I shared and it made a decent sized meal if your not overly hungry. There was a bit of a wait on food, at least 45 minutes but I believe there was only one girl working and it was quite busy so props to her for getting it all done. The garlic sauce was super creamy but not my personal favourite. The wish and chips are good, the texture of the fish is spot on but the taste seemed more chicken like to me personally, could just be my tastebuds but they seemed a tad bland. The chips are amazing, the perfect size and the milkshakes should honestly be called thick shakes. I had the chocolate milkshake and it is the best milkshake I have had since going vegan, it was the perfect amount of chocolate and didn't sit heavy on my stomach. All in all The Dutch Weed Burger Joint is an amazing gem to check out if you get a chance.

Pros: Delicious food, Milkshakes are delicious, Friendly staff

Cons: Long wait on food, Sauce costs extra

Super Seaweed

We had lunch here on a recent trip to Amsterdam.
A really great, simple idea.
We ate 'WIsh n Chips' and the special Thai flavoured burger. The food is absolutely delicious and tastes really fresh and clean.
There's local listings magazines available to browse through and a seaweed cookbook. We were so convinced we've bought the book.
Friendly staff, card only, great location.

Pros: cheap, tasty, good portions

Fantastic!

Really impressed with this place. Delicious, healthy, unusual and actively, politically vegan. We had the 'wish and chips' and the weed burger. Amazing texture and flavour in both the burger and the weed bites - 'meaty', textured, unlike any other vegan substitute we've tried, made of a combination of seitan and seaweed.

Tompouce (traditional Dutch cream flakey pastry) for dessert was fantastic too - although not quite as good as Vegabond's version!

Salad sounded great but they'd run out. Drinks selection small but decent. Don't be in a hurry, small and popular...

if you've only got time to try one of the vegan burger/junk food type places in Amsterdam make it this one!

Pros: delicious and healthy, unusual texture of burgers/bites, friendly, politically aware and fun

Cons: more side salad/greens options would be welcome

Seaweed!!

Visited here with my boyfriend - we had the 'wish and chips' and the 'weed dog' between us. Both were incredible - the hotdog was probably the best vegan dog i've had and the 'wish' and the sauce it came with had an amazing flavour like nothing I've ever had before. Even had room for an amazing chocolate Brownie and cheesecake afterwards.

Pros: Great food, Reasonable prices, Nice atmosphere

Nice vegan place!

It's a great vegan burger restaurant, nice place, nice people, lovely staff and good vegan food.

You can go anytime during opening hours and reservation is not possible.

For the burger, I took the big 'Dutch Weed Burger' which was delicious.
Also the brownie was awesome.

Excellent experience.

Hey man! There is no actual weed as in marijuana in the food! But there IS seaweed from the Dutch sea in our products as key flavour maker :-) Our food is enriched with the wonderful and super healthy Royal Kombu and Sea Lettuce. Oh and the brownie doesn't contain weed or seaweed at all. Glad you enjoyed your visit though and had an excellent experience! Cheers!

Definitely worth the visit

Really delicious burgers. I went with my husband and 2 kids (10 and 8) when we were visiting Amsterdam from London. My son is a vegetarian and I’m vegan but my daughter and husband still very much enjoy meat. They loved the burgers too and said if all plant based burgers were that good they wouldn’t even miss beef burgers.

The Best Burguer I Had

I spent my birthday lunch there and it was my first meal in Amsterdã. Couldn’t have been better! We order burguers, fries, ginger beer, and the delicious space chocolate cake. Everything was great!
I recommend the place to all my friends and I would go back for sure!

good food but a little too pricey

The wish n chips were amazing! The burger was ok not the best but not the worst and the banana milkshake was a little too sweet for our taste.
I think it’s a great place and would come here again but I think paying 50 US dollars for two burgers wish n chips and milkshake is bit overpriced for the product.

Intelligent life is all around us

Absolutely loved it here. We had the fabulous "wish and chips" at €10 and a monumental extra high version of the Dutch Weedburger with extra bun, additional toppings and burger at €15. I was feeling rather greedy. Both meals were absolute fast food fantasies. They were fully appreciated and accompanied with a glass of house white wine. The bill came to around €33 but don't mess about fiddling in your pockets for money. It's PIN only here so it's just as well I brought a credit card along for the ride.

Pros: 100% vegan fast food, great menu , excellent preparation and presentation

Cons: card only , quite pricey

Very tasty but unfortunately got sick

Yesterday my friend and I went for dinner here. The food was very nice and tasty. But the waitresses were touching their own hair and ear rings while taking the order and grabble in a pack of sweets while helping me. Also they were talking about customers in front of their face. Unfortunately this morning I woke up with a sore stomach, nauseous and diarrhea. I called my friend and she had exactly the same. We both had the same food and didn't consume anything else.. It's sad, because the taste was good and I really want to support vegan places. But I want to be s honest as possible in my reviews.

Pros: Tasty

Wow!!

What an amazing plant based fast food they’re serving here!! We were here yesterday and had the amazing Weed Dog and Wish’n Chips. Both full of flavours, exelent bite and just down right delicious. Oh, and the Mylkshake and Cheesecake, you really don’t want to mis out on those. And the place looks really cool as well. Be sure to visit when in Amsterdam.

good vegan burgers

I had the vegan shoarma, made from seitan. Served in a wrap with salad and sauce. The taste and presentation was really good. It’s a small place, quiet (for lunch). Also good coffees and cheese cake. Simple menu with only a few choices - the burgers are most famous. It’s more bar food than actual dining

amazing!!

This place is incredible...my boyfriend and I both had the Weed Dog and shared some Weed Bites (described as vegan seafood) which were really tasty! Easily the best hot dogs we've ever had! Both had strawberry milkshakes that tasted how I remember them from when I was a kid....so good to experience a really good strawberry milkshake again! Staff were friendly and the place had a chilled, modern vibe. These guys are doing things right..so strongly recommend to vegans and non-vegans...it may well convert you to vegan food forever!!

Fabulous Food, Good Service!

Nice ambiance, good beers, awesome food and great service. This was my first time at the Dutch Weed Burger Joint since I live quite far away, my only regret is not traveling to Amsterdam sooner!
The menu is all vegan but I am certain anyone that isnt vegan will be satisfied, full and amazed about the food that is served!

Pros: All vegan!, Great service!, Meat eater friendly.

Cons: Relatively small establishment

#gettinghighonmyownsupply.

As I am a local I enjoy eating here at least twice a week. I eat the 125 grams burger any time of the day, I was abroad two weeks ago and craved for The Seawharma for days and I am a big fan of the Weed Dog. This [censored] is high in flavour and full of nutrients as well. The quarter pounder has over 44 grams of proteins, which is way too much for one meal, but at the same time proof that plant based products are the bomb.

I happen to be co-founder of this 100% vegan restaurant, so feel free to do whatever you want, but I just want to share my food experience here with you.

Pros: big portions, rich in flavour, original drinks

Cons: just outside the city centre, only four options, could have more daylight

Lekker!!!!!

This place is very delicious. We had the big burger and hot dog🍔🌭, for dessert a warm brownie and hot chocolate with whip! Food tastes bewitching, because seaweed is inside almost everywhere 🖤 The stuff there was very charming and asked if we liked the food (what we could confirm!!). Although this is junk food, it‘s not so heavy food after eaten. We can‘t wait comin‘ bk!

AMAZING!

Amazing! For years I’ve been eating The Dutch Weed Burger at festivals (over a thousand I think..) and finally they have opened their own nice and really cool place!

The food is great and tasteful. Good quality, fresh, made with love and no bullshit. This time I had the Weed Dog (it looked like a piece of art). I love the home made sauces. For dessert the brownie (ask the staff to put it in the oven, it was delicious, chocolate overdose).

Staff is really friendly, great service, a bunch of shiny happy vegans. They make me wanna come back for more.
And sooooo happy to hear I can get my favorite vegan food delivered home, for the lazy days.. Cheers! Keep up the good work!

Pros: Great food!!!, Nice and cool place, good ambiance!, Friendly staff, good service

Cons: Can't think of anything :)

Unique foods & lovely people

I love this place. The quality of the food is amazing. It looks beautiful and the menu is unique, I don't think there's anything out there that can quite compare. The Joint has a lovely staff, an interesting look and I love the music and vibe over there. I come here almost every week, since I live close by. Will never get bored of the classic Dutch Weed Burger and enjoy the new stuff like the Wish 'n Chips and Dutch Weed Dog (Seawharma is great but too heavy for me), their Mylkshakes and uhmazing brownies. So happy they're here!

Pros: Excellent food, good value for money, Nothing like other vegan "fast food" places, There's beer! And a sunny terrace

Cons: Don't think there really are any

Great food

We really enjoyed our food here, my Husband had the burger and I went for the seitan wrap. The garlic weed sauce was also to die for! It was a bit messy and lots of napkins were required! The only disappointment was that the hot water wasn't working so I couldn't get a coffee or tea to have with my brownie.

We had the ‘extra high’ burger, it was so delicious! worth the €15 we paid for sure! The staff were so lovely and really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Will definitely be returning when we’re next in town :)
