Nice vegan place! - Edit

It's a great vegan burger restaurant, nice place, nice people, lovely staff and good vegan food.

You can go anytime during opening hours and reservation is not possible.

For the burger, I took the big 'Dutch Weed Burger' which was delicious.
I needed a conversation in the restaurant with a lovely lady from the UK, to understand that there is actually real weed inside the burger.
For one or another reason I was thinking about weed as a whole grain product and didn't immediately set the connection.

In the burger I didn't really taste it, in the brownie that I took afterwards, I did taste it.

Now the quantity of it is rather small, so it's accessible for everybody.

Excellent experience.

Pros: Nice fresh burgers, Lovely staff & people in the restaurant, Nice desserts

Cons: None

hmmmm.... - Edit

Very nice vegan place!! Work in an hygienic way (unfortunately not all vegan places even know what this means). The wait before they serve you can be quite long, also after you placed your order but will be worth it. Nice vegan soap in bath room. They made such a great place of this building, very beautiful design. If you want to taste the Dutch Weed Burger, this is the best place to go! They serve (very tasty!!) milkshakes! And some very good pastry (like donuts) also try the salty browny ahhh so good. Mostly friendly staff. You can only pay by car.

Pros: great tasting vegan fast food, beautiful design, vegan tasty milkshakes

Cons: they don't serve vegan 'kaassouflé' ;), it takes a long time before you get your order, a lot of times no seats left, it's populair!

Definitely worth the visit - Edit

Really delicious burgers. I went with my husband and 2 kids (10 and 8) when we were visiting Amsterdam from London. My son is a vegetarian and I’m vegan but my daughter and husband still very much enjoy meat. They loved the burgers too and said if all plant based burgers were that good they wouldn’t even miss beef burgers.

The Best Burguer I Had - Edit

I spent my birthday lunch there and it was my first meal in Amsterdã. Couldn’t have been better! We order burguers, fries, ginger beer, and the delicious space chocolate cake. Everything was great!
I recommend the place to all my friends and I would go back for sure!

good food but a little too pricey - Edit

The wish n chips were amazing! The burger was ok not the best but not the worst and the banana milkshake was a little too sweet for our taste.
I think it’s a great place and would come here again but I think paying 50 US dollars for two burgers wish n chips and milkshake is bit overpriced for the product.

Intelligent life is all around us - Edit

Absolutely loved it here. We had the fabulous "wish and chips" at €10 and a monumental extra high version of the Dutch Weedburger with extra bun, additional toppings and burger at €15. I was feeling rather greedy. Both meals were absolute fast food fantasies. They were fully appreciated and accompanied with a glass of house white wine. The bill came to around €33 but don't mess about fiddling in your pockets for money. It's PIN only here so it's just as well I brought a credit card along for the ride.

Pros: 100% vegan fast food, great menu , excellent preparation and presentation

Cons: card only , quite pricey

Very tasty but unfortunately got sick - Edit

Yesterday my friend and I went for dinner here. The food was very nice and tasty. But the waitresses were touching their own hair and ear rings while taking the order and grabble in a pack of sweets while helping me. Also they were talking about customers in front of their face. Unfortunately this morning I woke up with a sore stomach, nauseous and diarrhea. I called my friend and she had exactly the same. We both had the same food and didn't consume anything else.. It's sad, because the taste was good and I really want to support vegan places. But I want to be s honest as possible in my reviews.

good vegan burgers - Edit

I had the vegan shoarma, made from seitan. Served in a wrap with salad and sauce. The taste and presentation was really good. It’s a small place, quiet (for lunch). Also good coffees and cheese cake. Simple menu with only a few choices - the burgers are most famous. It’s more bar food than actual dining

Cozy - Edit

Except for the music. Some kind of hip hop(?) which was a bit too loud considering it wouldhave been so cozy there if the music was softer and not all the time the same genre. Regardless of that it was really nice here! The staff was super friendly. The weed burger was delicious and very filling and i loved the ginger beer. The strawberry cheesecake we had as dessert was the best cake i had EVER.

The best burguer I've ever had - Edit

These guys make the best burger I've ever had. I saw them at the Veggie World convention in Paris behind a distinctive huge line. Out of curiosity we decided to try it, and it was by far, the most delicious burger I ever had. I wish they opened a restaurant in Paris, I'd take the train just for it.

Pros: Best burger, Friendly people

Cons: Need to open more restaurants around the world

amazing!! - Edit

This place is incredible...my boyfriend and I both had the Weed Dog and shared some Weed Bites (described as vegan seafood) which were really tasty! Easily the best hot dogs we've ever had! Both had strawberry milkshakes that tasted how I remember them from when I was a kid....so good to experience a really good strawberry milkshake again! Staff were friendly and the place had a chilled, modern vibe. These guys are doing things right..so strongly recommend to vegans and non-vegans...it may well convert you to vegan food forever!!

Fabulous Food, Good Service! - Edit

Nice ambiance, good beers, awesome food and great service. This was my first time at the Dutch Weed Burger Joint since I live quite far away, my only regret is not traveling to Amsterdam sooner!
The menu is all vegan but I am certain anyone that isnt vegan will be satisfied, full and amazed about the food that is served!

Pros: All vegan!, Great service!, Meat eater friendly.

Cons: Relatively small establishment

#gettinghighonmyownsupply. - Edit

As I am a local I enjoy eating here at least twice a week. I eat the 125 grams burger any time of the day, I was abroad two weeks ago and craved for The Seawharma for days and I am a big fan of the Weed Dog. This shit is high in flavour and full of nutrients as well. The quarter pounder has over 44 grams of proteins, which is way too much for one meal, but at the same time proof that plant based products are the bomb.

I happen to be co-founder of this 100% vegan restaurant, so feel free to do whatever you want, but I just want to share my food experience here with you.

Pros: big portions, rich in flavour, original drinks

Cons: just outside the city centre, only four options, could have more daylight

Lekker!!!!! - Edit

This place is very delicious. We had the big burger and hot dog🍔🌭, for dessert a warm brownie and hot chocolate with whip! Food tastes bewitching, because seaweed is inside almost everywhere 🖤 The stuff there was very charming and asked if we liked the food (what we could confirm!!). Although this is junk food, it‘s not so heavy food after eaten. We can‘t wait comin‘ bk!

AMAZING! - Edit

Amazing! For years I’ve been eating The Dutch Weed Burger at festivals (over a thousand I think..) and finally they have opened their own nice and really cool place!

The food is great and tasteful. Good quality, fresh, made with love and no bullshit. This time I had the Weed Dog (it looked like a piece of art). I love the home made sauces. For dessert the brownie (ask the staff to put it in the oven, it was delicious, chocolate overdose).

Staff is really friendly, great service, a bunch of shiny happy vegans. They make me wanna come back for more.
And sooooo happy to hear I can get my favorite vegan food delivered home, for the lazy days.. Cheers! Keep up the good work!

Pros: Great food!!!, Nice and cool place, good ambiance!, Friendly staff, good service

Cons: Can't think of anything :)

Unique foods & lovely people - Edit

I love this place. The quality of the food is amazing. It looks beautiful and the menu is unique, I don't think there's anything out there that can quite compare. The Joint has a lovely staff, an interesting look and I love the music and vibe over there. I come here almost every week, since I live close by. Will never get bored of the classic Dutch Weed Burger and enjoy the new stuff like the Wish 'n Chips and Dutch Weed Dog (Seawharma is great but too heavy for me), their Mylkshakes and uhmazing brownies. So happy they're here!

Pros: Excellent food, good value for money, Nothing like other vegan "fast food" places, There's beer! And a sunny terrace

Cons: Don't think there really are any

Great food - Edit

We really enjoyed our food here, my Husband had the burger and I went for the seitan wrap. The garlic weed sauce was also to die for! It was a bit messy and lots of napkins were required! The only disappointment was that the hot water wasn't working so I couldn't get a coffee or tea to have with my brownie.

texture of fish - Edit

When I first walked in and looked at the price, I went a wee bit disappointed because it was a bit more than what I would have wanted to pay. I ordered something anyway. When my Wish n Chips came, I took a bite and was so amazed by the texture of the "fish"!! The outside was crunchy (almost like a skin) and the inside was moist flaky meat. Definitely worth it!!

Marketing machine - Edit

I have mixed feelings about the Dutch Weed Burger. The positive thing is that the quality of the fake meat is really outstanding. If you are looking for real fake meat and don't care about the cons I'm about to mention, this is your thing.

The 'flesh' of the burger is great and the hotdog was great as well. I'll will return to taste the seawarma, but...

The burger is over priced (15e) as well is the hotdog (10e for a small hotdog), the quality of the other elements (letuce, sauce, bread) are below par. The place is modern and fancy, but lacks atmosphere (ok, very personal of course) and the crew acts a little like most hipster like service crews act in contemporary Amsterdam: like they are the coolest zombies in the world. Get your act together.

All in all is the Dutch Weed Burger a great Marketing Machine (which is not that common for vegans) which in a way is good thing, but once you seen through it, it becomes a little boring.

Pros: Great fake meat

Cons: Over priced, Crew, Atmosphere

Unique and amazing place - Edit

Definitely recommend coming here. The burger, the seawharma, the hotdog... all so good! Very friendly staff. Only critique is that sometimes it can take some time to get your order. Oh and the milkshakes... to die for (because they are not overly sweet). This is such a unique concept and I will definitely visit again soon.
