Great vegan options

Nice choice of vegan or veganized dishes - we really liked their crispy noodles and Grandma's potatoes. The food is delicious and spicy (just how we like it!).

Fantastic food, nice atmosphere, and a passion for vegetables

I've loved this restaurant for years. I've talked to the owner a couple of times: she's really passionate about healthy food and vegetables, and about making everyday healthy regional food that people actually eat available (not just things for occasional take-out or banquets). She makes sure to put a lot of vegetarian options on the menu - and even the non-vegetarian options are loaded with lots of leek, cabbage, pak choi, and other vegetables.

The menu doesn't mark vegan items. However, most of their vegetarian options are vegan (not all), and I've consistently found them really helpful and accommodating, even when there have been fairly new waiters. The owner and kitchen clearly care a lot, and I've found it really easy to eat here as a vegan. The menu and people reflect that they understand what vegetarian means - I'm never worried about things like fish sauce or oyster sauce here.

I love the "Cross the bridge rice noodles" (I ask for them with no egg) and the chili wontons. The vegetarian (vegan) copper pot rice and vegetarian (vegan) mapo tofu are also good, especially together. They also have a nice selection of unusual tea; the rose one is great.

Pros: Tons of vegetables, Tons of hearty vegan options, Incredibly delicious

Cons: Slightly inconvenient location
