Vegan in The Forest - Edit
The food was good. The cafe was cute. Wonderful location. Plenty of parking. I checked the hours online. Then when I got thre they weren't open. I waited until they opened. I asked the staff & they talked over me about the hours. Then I showed them online & they never apologized. I found the staff very rude.

Friendliest Staff I’ve encountered - Edit
We ordered simple fruit smoothies and they were exactly what you would expect but... the one staff member gave us practically an extra smoothie because there was extra leftover after making the batch. It wasn’t just the extra smoothie that impressed us but it was the smile behind it. These people really do love serving you. Be sure to check out this eatery! Great experience. Highly recommended

Great Vegan Spot In Ocala (...in an easy to miss location) - Edit
I bumped into The Dragonfly when work had me passing through the Ocala area. It's off the beaten path in a little strap mall on a corner on the outskirts of town (about 25 minutes from I-75). That being said, it's well worth the drive every time I'm passing through the area.
Read moreThey offer a nice selection of appetizers, lunch options, and smoothies. Everything I've had there has been both prepared and presented well. My favorite so far is the seasonal Buddha bowl as it has a little bit of everything and the vegetables are cooked up fresh.
In addition, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Often, I'll catch the owner on site and he's been nothing but kind and welcoming.

Pretty much everything is made in-house except for like the fries and a couple of other items. Pretty good variety and they are always changing up the menu with specials. Two really awesome vegan chefs in house. And they very involved owner. definitely need to pop in if you're in the area, driving past on the turnpike is worth to drive into ocala, or riding mountain bikes or hiking at Santos.

Enjoyed our time talking with the team, and the fresh kombucha samples they offered. Falafel sandwich was great, two of us felt the cheesesteak was too heavy. Love that it used to be vegetarian, but then went vegan.

This is now one of my top 3 favorite vegan restaurants/cafes ever! And I have tried a lot in many places from Baltimore to LA, South Florida etc this is absolutely awesome. I tried the delicious jackfruit tacos, they also offer another kind I didn’t try yet. Dank bbq jackfruit sandwich!! The best sweet potato wedges ever with the best honey mustard sauce I’ve ever had! Everything here is vegan.

Fajita tacos are amazing, I added avocado sliced on top, then you put the fresh salsa they give you on top too. Their burgers are soo good too. Ah and just tried their buffalo chickpea gyro! Creamy and so flavorful. I am obsessed with this little cafe now!! And must try the besttt garlic aioli ever, use it as you would ranch. Everything is fresh and made in house! I would buy 2 days of food at a time it was so hard to choose.

We stopped here while traveling to Ocala and it was a good decision. We tried portobello philly (come with a side) and a buddha bowl. Portions were were big and food was great. Menu has a lot of good options, just missing desserts.

All the food sits well with me. Almost 100% sure that all the food is non-gmo! The thousand island burger is a must try. And the Yuca Fries with the garlic sauce is a must have every single time! They're that good!

Me and my boyfriend were traveling through Ocala and we decided to stop here. What a wonderful choice we made! The food was delicious and fairly priced. The staff was friendly and catered to all of our needs. If you're traveling through ocala stopping here is a must! For an added bonus there is a small asian food market right next door!

My husband, myself and my 7 year old really enjoyed the food. Husband had the Budda bowl I had the falafel gyro, son had a flatbread pizza. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about a whole food plant based diet. They even have gluten free options, which is wonderful for my husband who has celiac disease. 10/10 will return next time we are in Ocala.

I love this place!!, it’s small but has a lot of unique things on the menu like Vietnamese hoagies called Banh Mi, my wife is Vietnamese and not a vegetarian but she really liked the hoagies. Everything can be made vegan and the Tacos and rice might be one of my favorite vegan dishes I’ve gotten anywhere! Tons of flavor...Worth visiting if you are anywhere near Ocala.

I was so happy to find this cafe on Happy Cow. It's super cute with full vegan menu (they do have vegetarian options too.) The taco plate and sweet potato fries are amazing. The portions are large, so you could split with someone. The creamy sesame dressing is so good and I'd recommend it if you get a buddha bowl.

After a day at the nearby Kindred Spirits Animal Sanctuary, and a stroll around Silver Springs, this place was just what we needed. The Ethiopian soup was wonderful. (I definitely need to learn more about using Berbere spice. Yum!) And the Pulled Jackfruit sandwich went great with it -- especially its delicious the kale coleslaw. My wife had the vegan taco entree which was also great and a big meal.

Found this restaurant thanks to the happy cow app. Vegan nut burger, vegan bahn mi, yucca fries, buddha bowl. Super filling, very delicious. Lots of options to choose from and most are vegan.
