A vegetarian restaurant and bakery. Serves a daily rotating lunch menu featuring sandwiches, salads, and always vegan soups. A permanent lunch item is a vegan tempeh reuben. The desserts and pastries are made-in-house, with both vegan and vegetarian choices available, as well as some gluten free. Call ahead to ensure vegan baked goods are available, as they are sometimes sold out. Reported fully vegetarian April 2018. Confirmed closed Sept. '18.

If you are visiting or live in Utica, NY, do not hesitate to drive a few miles over to Clinton to try some of The Dessert Booth's amazing food!

I frequent this restaurant as often as I possibly can for lunch, or if I'm in a rush, just to pick up some dessert for later.
Their vegan desserts are amazing, especially their carrot cake! Incredibly moist and flavorful. If carrot cake isn't your thing, they often have chocolate tarts,brownies, lemon or raspberry bars and more available.

The lunches are amazing with weekly regulars such as Thai noodle salad, curried sweet potato soup, and grilled cheese filled with tomato or apple. And yes, that's all vegan! You will never go hungry here.

The employees are always friendly and very accommodating, and have always done their best by me to ensure I have an excellent meal. They can occasionally get rather busy since it is a small space and business is good, but if you have an ounce of patience, you will be rewarded with a wonderful experience in a very bright, cozy, and friendly atmosphere!

If you are in need of nourishment and are within 10 miles of this place, you would be remiss to pass The Dessert Booth up!

Yum! - Edit

Delicious, fresh, homemade vegan food in a surprising location. My wife and two kids (all vegan) were thrilled to find this place. The owner really gets the vegan thing and was excited that we found her on HappyCow. Big lunch portions. Sandwiches are made on their homemade breads. Came with a great salad. We were stuffed and didn't try the desserts but they looked really good and there were plenty of vegan options.
