Good selection, nice atmosphere - Edit

Plenty of vegan items on the menu (though most are sandwiches of some variety and chickpea based for some reason). All cakes are vegan and gluten free, and there's animal rights literature by the toilets. Staff are very nice. Not particularly cheap though.

Doggy Cream Tea - Edit

Very welcoming atmosphere and inclusive of our furry family members which is a joy to find.

We had the Doggy cream tea. I would have liked to have seen it presented a little better. The tea, in a large teacup instead of dull bowl and the biscuits on the saucer, and not baked in the stereotypical, uncreative dog bone shape.

Some sort of dog chair would be nice too.

Plenty of vegan choices and great cakes - Edit

Lots of vegan options - cooked breakfast, club sandwich, ciabatta bread with vegan toppings, etc, as well as a full afternoon tea. I don't know if it's always the case but when I asked which cakes are vegan I was told "all of them", I'm not used to actually having to choose! We had the salted caramel sponge and the chocolate hazelnut cakes and they were fantastic - really rich and indulgent. My non-vegan friend was impressed and said she would not have known they were dairy-free. The owner is lovely and very welcoming, she is actually vegan herself so although the menu includes some meat and dairy items, the vegan dishes are definitely not an after-thought or a compromise like they are in so many places. Also, dogs are welcome and even have their own treats on the menu!

Pros: Excellent food, especially the cakes, Very friendly service, Nice vintage decor and relaxed vibe

Cons: C'mon, make the whole menu vegan! ;-)

Cute Cafe, Delicious Cakes - Edit

I really like the vibes here. The fact that dogs are allowed is so cute, too, especially the 'dog friendly' menu they have which includes treats and a tea that supposed makes their breath smell nice. So adorable.

I've been here a few times and the vegan cakes are very tasty. I've had a chocolate one and a white chocolate and raspberry. Unfortunately, their main food doesn't quite live up to expectations. The falafels were very bland, as is their 'vegan club'. I had the vegan breakfast too and although the pesto toast was yum, the potato cakes were similar to the falafels. Bland and uninteresting. Still, it has good vibes and I'll still revisit just for their tasty cakes and I might give one of their vegan mains another chance.

Pros: Tasty cakes, Friendly staff, YOU MIGHT SEE A DOG!!

Cons: Bland falafels, the fact they even have falafels, seriously falafels are so boring

All-day vegan breakfast and delicious vegan cakes - Edit

This is a lovely little cafe with a couple of good vegan options on the menu. The staff member was helpful and friendly and the tea all came in proper pots with cups and saucers all vintage-style. To eat, I tried the vegan all-day breakfast but I would go back and try the other options too, especially the vegan afternoon tea!

The highlight of my visit was the cake though; the chocolate, carrot and walnut, and victoria sponge cakes were all yummy, moist and full of flavour. I shared a piece of each with 2 non-veggie family members and we ate them up with great gusto!
