Overpriced

We called in for lunch. The only vegan option was a cooked breakfast, but they said they could do mushrooms on toast. It was a small portion (one piece of toast) for which I was charged £10.30. I queried this as I thought it very expensive and they reduced the price a little. The food itself was good, but this experience has put me off returning.

Solid stop for vegan food

There are usually a couple of vegan options on the menu as well as one or two cakes. Vegan bean burgers with sweet chilli sauce are a staple main and always very good. Just make sure you specify that you don’t want coleslaw with the salad as it’s usually not vegan.

Edit (May ‘23): they’ve now added a vegan pie and a vegan breakfast option. Both excellent. Again just specify you want vegan gravy and mash with the pie.
