We stayed for three days and got treated to amazing food , hospitality and ultimate relaxing by the pool in the cool mountains , a great way to end an Italian adventure . The food is created by Malu Simoes , acclained veg chef, and the hosting done by her partner Alberto , awesome team , wonderful interesting gourmet food and amazing location , vegans also really well catered for , go stay , you won't regret it

Pros: Awesome food, Great staff, Amazing location

Cons: No tea/coffee making in room

Best Vegetarian B&B in the world - Edit

Montali is a small B&B situated on a picturesque Umbrian hilltop. My wife and I are not B&B people. Truth be told, we hate B&Bs. But from the moment we arrived at Montali, Alberto and his staff made us feel like family.

If she wanted to, Malu could open a world-class vegetarian restaurant in New York or San Francisco. The 10km drive up the unpaved road is well-worth the trip. Most of the guests who we met--even though they were not vegetarian--were repeat customers. The chefs we met (who came from all over the world to study with Malu) were not vegetarian chefs.

The food is just that good.

Go for the sunset. Stay for the dessert.

Also, check out their cookbook: http://www.amazon.com/Vegeterranean-Italian-Vegetarian-Cooking/dp/1847371957/

Pros: world-class gourmet food, romantic, English speaking staff
