Very good option for fast food

A little pricey, conveniently located at the Kahala mall. Good parking, great service, and fulfilling food. Had fries, onion rings, and a burger my wife and i built from scratch. I felt that the prices were reasonable for hawaii’s standard. Very good for what it is. There could always be more but i cant complain with my experience there at all.

Pros: Vegan options, Service, Parking

Okay option

Burger was fine, french fries okay, brussel sprouts delicious, simple salad with added avocado was okay.

Pros: Options for omnivore friends

The Counter

I attempted to eat here but the staff couldn’t answer basic questions about what is vegan and what is not (e.g., buns, ingredients, etc.). When I asked if the impossible burger is cooked on the same grill as meat, the response I got was “I don’t know.” They finally asked another server who said, yes, it is cooked on the same grill as the meat but they could look into cleaning it. I had a bad gut feeling based on the way they answered my questions, so I left. If you’re OK with eating the impossible burger being cooked where meat is also cooked, The Counter may work for you, but if you’d prefer to avoid cross contamination, you might want to skip this place.

Vegan Brioche Buns!

I like the impossible burger cooked well—no pink and the unlisted-but-found-out-about-them-from-my-waiter Vegan Brioche buns are good. They tend to fall apart by the time I’m more than halfway done eating, but I do order a lot of toppings. If you eat fish, the mahi mahi is excellent. Sometimes they forget a topping, if you mention it, they always bring it out as soon as they can.

Pros: Vegan Buns!

Cons: Sometimes they forget a topping.

The Counter - Honolulu: Flavorful, but Overpriced

Located on the corner of Kahala shopping center, next
to Whole Foods.

Ambiance: Casual & Clean
Price: Expensive
Food: Cooked as requested
Service: Friendly, but a little slow

We were seated quickly and provided clipboards to create a burger. We ordered the Impossible Burgers with Ciabatta Bread (vegan, up-charge of $0.75) many toppings to chose from and Dayia Cheese. We also ordered sides of shoestring fries (+ $3.50). Our meals were good and filling.

The prices where high (Impossible Burgers were over $18.00 each - without fries or bread up-charge) so with a family of 4, we will not be eating here often.
