Best Vegan Mexican Food in the Midwest - Edit
Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place- we travel from Omaha to KC specifically for lunch here sometimes! The whole menu is amazing, and the atmosphere and staff are also great. Prices feel like 10 years ago and portion sizes are huge. I reccomend everything!

I got the vegan torta and my partner tried the vegetarian burrito. Portions were huge and generous for their size. We both weren't really a big fan of the food though. The main flavor in the torta was from the bread (which unfortunately was toasted a bit longer than I'd prefer) and the meat - the veggies couldve been thicker cut to add more flavor but the other things were a bit too overpowering with their salt.

I love that you can basically order all of the same things from the normal menu and they can make them vegan. (Ask for the vegan menu) Super authentic and so flavorful! I had the corner burrito with both the red and green sauce. It was amazing. But I will absolutely be back to try some pupusas and pozole. Will likely be back many more times! Really recommend!

I met some friends at The Corner Mexican Restaurant and couldn’t believe all the vegan options available (a 2-sided vegan menu is available)! The chips, guacamole, and salsa were perfect and the entrees were interesting and really good! I tried the red enchiladas w/ vegan cheez, refried black beans, and vegan rice, which were fantastic. One friend let me try her Gordita with soy chorizo - SO good! If you’re in the KC area, this place is worth the trek - the business is located on the Main Street in Grandview, just off 71 Hwy and has great hours. Enjoy!

Below the radar but arguably THE best vegan option in Kansas City metro area - Edit
It's not fancy. It's not on a corner. They don't serve alcohol. If you ask for the vegan menu you will be amazed at all of the options they have beyond the usual american mexican offerings that can be made vegan. Menu is inexpensive and the decor clearly didn't cost a fortune. It's a nice vibe, people are friendly and helpful.

The Corner Mexican Food has a separate vegan menu that has an impressive selection. The torta was out of this world good. They have several vegan meat options, vegan cheese, and sour cream. This was some of the best Mexican food I’ve had since going vegan.

Wow! I was so overwhelmed at the number of vegan options at a non-vegan restaurant. I had a delicious burrito, ice cream and churros with my non-vegan boyfriend. We both thoroughly enjoyed the vegan menu. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a gordita and it was fresh and had an authentic, homemade taste and since it was taco Tuesday I got a soy asada taco as well. Some of the best faux meat I have ever had in my life.
I can't possibly recommend this place enough.
Oh, and VEGAN DESSERT! They had vegan churros served with vegan whipped cream! Holy cow-less!!

My Fave Mexican Restaurant - Edit
I love this place so much. I’m so glad they got a bigger location. My faves are the “pork” rind, and pumpkin flower proteins, but really they are all delicious. The corner burritos are massive and full of flavor, tacos are simple and tasty. There’s SO many options you really can’t go wrong.

Amazing mexican food! Has its own Vegan menu with lots of options. Vegan meats, cheese, sour cream and desserts. Waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Love this spot went multiple times during my stay in KC.
