tasty food in Phnom Penh - Edit
Had the vegan green curry and fresh rice paper rolls which were both delicious and full of flavour.
The vegan crepe with the chocolate sorbet ice cream was also fabulous.
Limited but tasty menu.
Pros: reasonable price ($5 main meals), friendly staff

The Corn :) - Edit
The Corn is literally next door to my hotel so I just had to try it out!
I ordered a lemon and mint shake and the Khmer Tom Yum which was accompanied with black rice. Both were excellent. The main dishes are all $5 and the starters range from between 2.50-3.50. Drinks are 2.50. It was very good value for money as everything tasted so fresh and lovingly prepared.
Next time I plan on getting the lentil fritters with the zuchinni salad... sounds delish!

Pros: Location, Rice Served with Main Dishes, Good Selection of Khmer Food
Cons: The drinks arrived after the food , Mosquitos as a lot of seats are outside

Great Khmer & Western veg/vegan food/drinks - Edit
Excellent veg, vegan, & non-vegan options. Western & Khmer. The veggie spring rolls & amok are great. Tried a few different curries and each was excellent. Curries have chicken, or tofu/veggies options. If you're going to add a drink to your meal, this is the place to do it. The frozen drinks are amazing, especially in the midst of Phnom Penh heat. Some unique drinks like corn whiskey freeze, and I cant remember exactly what the other one was, but i think it had basil & pineapple, maybe ginger. Friendly staff, excellent service.
Pros: Veg & non-veg curry options, Great value, Delicious drinks

Best vegan dishes in Phnom Penh - Edit
I had dinner here with my husband. The place is NOT difficult to find, as there is a big sign right at the beginning of its street. The menu is 90% vegan, with the possibility of adding meat or fish. We are vegan, so we ordered the vegan dishes. We had both fresh and fried spring rolls: so good! The sauces were perfect too. Then, a red curry with black rice, very tasty, not too spicy, you can taste the freshness of the veggies. We tried the char kroeung, extremely delicate. I could taste every single ingredient, fresh, good, healthy. Finally, the homemade VEGAN crepe with VEGAN chocolate ice cream: yummy and very light. A great dinner, the best I had in Phnom Penh for sure. One of the best in South East Asia.
Pros: Very good vegan dishes, peaceful place and location , kind staff

accommodating special requests - Edit
Randomly stumbled upon this so it's definitely findable! Great menu selection of salads and curries. I couldn't pick between three salads and asked if I could have a pick and mix of ingredients - the waiter/chef agreed and didn't even charge me extra! So I had a lovely orangey tofu lentil salad :P
My partner had a curry and liked the the black rice that came with it. Said he "felt like an emperor" (as the menu explains, black rice used to be rare and eaten by emperors only).
Not as cheap as food in the rest of Cambodia but still easily affordable for a western tourist.

vegetarian - with non-vegetarian options - Edit
this restaurant falls into a category, which is rare and difficult to list and rate. it is a vegetarian restaurant, that offers non-vegetarian options. listing it as vegetarian friendly somehow doesn't do justice to the restaurant.
in other words: if you you expect an entirely meat-free zone, this restaurant is not for you. if your focus is on trying good and creative vegetarian food in a quite and nice place, and don't mind if maybe not everybody in the restaurant observes a vegetarian diet: try it!

Pros: quiet and nice place and location, no fast food items; real dishes, good and friendly service

Delicious cambodian vegeterian food, quiet & green - Edit
This restaurant is a bit hard to find, it is in an alley on the boulevard and there is no big sign on the street. But once you are there, the location is splendid: we ate on the balcony, quiet and green, everything felt just perfect.
The food (pineapple and coconut curry for me, pumpkin curry for my friend) was delicious though a bit pricy for local food (5$). It comes with red rice, which is a nice change when you eat rice approx twice a day.
Pros: Delicious red rice, Quiet and green location
Cons: A bit pricy

completely vegetarian! - Edit
The BEST vegetarian I have tried in PP, with sophisticated food selections. everything we ordered was delicious, quick service, and the staff could speak english. The most expensive veg I went to in PP, but still remains A MUST IN THE CAPITAL!
Pros: great menu, nice location
Cons: pricy, a bit difficult to find

Pros: Super Fresh Ingredients., Lots Of Care In The Preparation. , Location.
Cons: Look For The Sign, Located Just In The Alley.

Hidden Gem - Edit
I found this lovely little restaurant when I was on one of my walkabouts on my way from the Independence monument towards the Hong Kong Centre on 268 street.
The vegan food was delicious and I managed to get some vegan red wine which is the first time in my life when travelling in SE Asia. Staff friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable. Next time in Phnom Penh I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
Pros: friendly staff, a vegan wine available, delicious food
Cons: needs more advertising

delicious - Edit
had a great meal here last night - the spring rolls were delicious, and the vegan amok with tofu was similarly great
only gripe - very small portions. if you're hungry, i would order 3 dishes for 2 people.
there is now a sign on the main street so v easy to find
Pros: delicious food, attentive and charming staff
Cons: small portions

Cute little place, attentive service - Edit
The waiters here were by far the best I've had in Cambodia so far - they'll always fill up your glass with free cool water, speak great english and are very very kind.
The food is absolutely fantastic, mostly thai and khmer but each dish has a special twist, have a look at the menu that I uploaded. It was really difficult to choose. Try the ice cream for dessert, fantastic!!
Would give 5* if happycow let me (impossible for a just veg-friendly place)
Pros: food quality, atmosphere, service
Cons: they offer meat on request

Best choice in Cambodia so far - Edit
We can confirm that The Corn is definitively worth a visit. On the way to the popular The Vegetarian we bumped into The Corn. We finally went to The Corn since The Vegetarian is closed on Sundays. The Corn is open every day and has a range of Vegan and Vegetarian dishes.
I loved the sweet potato & pumpkin curry, which has been the absolutely best meal in Cambodia so far!
Unfortunately the position on the map @happycow is wrong at the moment. Yes it is on the Preah Suramarit Blvd (Street 268), but further East. From The Vegetarian walk South to the Preah Suramarit Blvd turn left (towards East) and walk about 1/2 block and you will find a little sign. From the sign you have to walk a few meters into the "driveway" until you see the entrance.
Cons: Small & quiet, Clean

great little place! - Edit
Awesome little place tucked away down a side street just around the corner from The Vegetarian. They do serve meat dishes, but I wouldn't call this place veg friendly, I'd call it non-veg friendly. As in, it's 90% vegan with maybe 2 or 3 non-veg dishes. The food is lovely and because it's down a side street it's very quiet. Highly recommend! But it can be hard to find, but you will see a sign at the end of the alley/driveway it's on.
Pros: location, food, staff
