Dog friendly downstairs and lovely views and outside area.

5* vegan option! - Edit
A lovely pub that has a daily menu.
Read moreI had seen that the main vegan options seem to be a curry or a pie.
The lentil, shallot and celeriac pie sounded lovely and it did not disappoint! It came with a lovely selection of veg and hasselback potatoes that were great. The red wine gravy just topped it off too!
Desserts wise they only have sorbet that is labelled vegan, hopefully in the future they will have more and they will be as wonderful as the pie!

One of the Best Vegan meals I have ever eaten. - Edit
The Lentil, shallot and celeriac pie, hasselback potatoes, red currant, red wine gravy, greens (vg, gf) this was easily one of the best vegan meals I have ever had in a restaurant that serves meat . The menu changes daily at 12 online so check it out 1st. They usually have 2/3 starters and 2 mains that are vegan. They sometimes offer a vegan dessert and have vegan sorbets. The staff are very friendly. It gets very busy and you need to book a table online or phoning.

Tasty lunch - Edit
Just had a three course lunch here. It was super tasty with several options to choose from at each course. I opted for falafel, pea and mint tortellini, and a chocolate torte with raspberry sorbet. Would highly recommend booking if you are here at peak times as it gets very busy.

Good vegan Sunday roast - Edit
Easy booking online. (They request that people bringing a dog let them know, so they can seat them in a dog-friendly area.) I was given a nice table on the upper floor, with a view through to the river. Some of the chairs are beautifully carved. Cheery daffodils were on the table. The vegan Sunday nut roast meal was very good, with lots of greens and vegetables. There’s a vegan Shiraz wine. Great meal and service.
