Perfect Food, Perfect View - Edit

Not only is the menu at Solscape incredible, but it truly has the best views of anywhere in Raglan or on the west coast for dining. Amazing coffees with all of the plant milks on offer, delicious and nutritious smoothies, pizza nights during the summer and THE BEST burger I've ever had anywhere. And all with jaw dropping views of the wild coast.

Pros: excellent food, friendly staff, outside seating

Fab setting and food - Edit

I love the setting, the choice of food, and the fact that most of the veggies and salads are from the organic garden just there, 3 m away from the kitchen! It definitely shows!

I stayed at Solscape for a few days, so I was able to sample quite a selection of their foods! I loved the "fried eggs" for breakfast (a huge meal actually!), their summer salad for lunch (mmm, fresh and crunchy and full of nice stuff from the garden) or their poke bowl, with great glazed tempeh and satay sauce. The one disappointment was the "granola" (actually quite basic cereals full of cornflakes, even though lovingly topped with fresh fruit and coconut yogurt).

Pros: Setting, deck, Great choice, for breakfast, brunch or lunch

Cons: Unpredictable dinner opening (call ahead!)

Food and surroundings well worth the trip - Edit

We made a special trip to this cafe, as it was open when cafes in Hamilton were closed. It was a worthwhile journey and a great experience from start to finish: beautiful scenery, a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We were there just before 11am and ordered from the breakfast menu: vegan fried eggs ($20) and the (more predictable) big vegan breakfast ($24). Both were delicious and filling, even if prices were a little on the higher end of reasonable. We also ordered a couple of soy flat whites, and while these were nice and hot, there was a lot of airy froth on top. This is a place I would like to come back to, maybe while staying in the accommodation.

Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful surroundings with relaxed vibe, Friendly staff

Cons: Coffees a bit too frothy, Not cheap
