Needs more research into vegan food - Edit
The staff and location were lovely. This review is aimed more at my food.
Read moreI had the vegan wellington, but it was more like a dessert - super sweet with cranberries in it I believe and a soft undercooked pastry.
I was also shocked to know there was no vegetable gravy on site. So the pastry came dry with pain boiled vegetables and plain new potatoes… it really wasn't the vibe of an English roast at all.
I love the progressiveness to incorporate cruelty-free dishes on the menu, it just needs some more thought!
The meal was that unenjoyable we didn’t opt to try dessert, but there was a chocolate Carmel slice on offer.

“Vegan Wellington” - Edit
When you get a vegan wellington with veg in a pub it’s normally mushroom, lentils, butternut squash etc. This wellington was more of a cranberry filled pie with pastry which was very sweet. I would have preferred more of a savoury taste along with some vegetable gravy.

Lovely spot and great food - Edit
A super place to sit by the quay. They had no tofu for the tortilla special so offered to do it with cauliflower instead, it was totally scrummy, one of the best vegan lunches I’ve had. I’ve been back and asked for it again it was so good!

Surprisingly decent choices - Edit
For a seaside pub that mainly offers seafood option there was a decent selection of vegan choices. The vegan burger was nice and there was also a Mediterranean tart and a vegan special as well as a vegan desert.

Great vegan food in Staithes! - Edit
Wasn't expecting much to be available for a vegan in Staithes and was very pleasantly surprised to find food here that was both clearly labeled, on the specials as well as the menu and also to a high standard. Visited in May and it was very busy. I had the Thai bean burger and it was clearly made on the premises and really full of flavour. If you like a big chip these were about as good as they get.

Cons: Difficult to get a seat
