Hop In! - Edit
Met up with a good friend of mine for an exceptional Sri Lankan dining experience, where we shared the following:
Read more*Kaju Maluwa (cashew nuts)
*Panppu (Dhal)
*Mango curry
*Fat Sister
*Plain hopper
*Coconut Sambal
*Parotta Rotti
*Brinjal Moju
*Sticky Rice (Kiribath)
All of the food was so flavourful, with the mango curry, fat sister, hopper and kaju maluwa dishes my personal favourites. Even my non vegan friend was mightily impressed. Including a few red wines and vodka tonics, our final bill was about £80 and worth every penny.
Staff, ambiance and interior were also excellent. Advisable to book.

Great Options - Edit
Are here recently, and we’re really impressed with the options.
Read moreOn the vegan menu they essentially have 9 dishes, alongside basics such as rice.
Between 2 of us, we shared 7 of the 9 dishes, plus a rice and we were impressed with every single dish. We couldn’t choose a favourite! The cocktails were really good too.

Amazing food, weird service. - Edit
Straight up, the food here was incredible. No complaints about it. We had a good selection but the kotthu, battered mushrooms, hopper especially nice. Weird service though. Took an hour to get food, half the order was lost, drinks came at random times (or never came), then one dish arrived basically as we were ready for the bill. Very haphazard. Decided not to take a star away because one bad server doesn’t define the restaurant and hopefully most of the time it’s good. Good job the food was great though.

Something different - Edit
I was visiting the area and, since we have no Sri Lankan restaurants where I’m from, we had to give it a try. I like the tapas style dining - we had 2 rice and 5 other dishes between 2 of us and that was plenty. I particularly enjoyed the pumpkin dish and cashew dish. Friendly staff, highly recommend.

Very clear, very tasty vegan options - Edit
Four of us ate here on a busy midweek night (with a booking) just before Christmas 2023. It has previously been Pickled Piglet and then Craeft, neither of which I visited. We ate upstairs and the table was a little cramped however it was soon overlooked. There is meat on the menu however it is very clear about the vegan choices and they are prominently placed on the menu. The dishes are easily shared, family style. The waitress helped us to choose and if anything we had more vegan choices than the one vegan diner (me) deserved. My favourites were the Kaju Maluwa (creamy cashew nut) dish and the Parippu Dahl. I wouldn’t order the Hopper again. The vegan version is an egg Hopper without the egg and it really misses that ingredient. We all enjoyed our visit, our waitress was lovely and there was a really nice vibe. I hope to return.

Yummmmm - Edit
Seriously tasty tapas style food. We had 6 x vegan dishes, and they were all delicious. The savoury pancakes were lovely. Vegan dishes are clearly labelled, and there's lots of choice. Friendly and helpful servers. We would definitely visit again when in Birmingham

A taste of Sri Lanka - Edit
This restaurant only opened in May this year and I’ve visited four times already! The flavours of the food are amazing. My favourite is the fat sister (pumpkin curry) the vegan hopper is good and chickpea dish is also good, although I’ll give it a miss next time as had it every time I’ve been. Staff are super friendly and there’s a great offer on until Jan 2023 if you book mon-wed before 6:30pm

Sri Lankan Tapas - Edit
Amazing flavours, variety (tapas style), healthy and lots of vegan options. Make sure you get a Vegan Hopper, (coconut milk pancake with toppings) and vegan fired rice is excellent, not what you would expect, very nice ingredients. Just add 4 dishes to that and thats plenty for two. Filling.
