Good Vegan Fish & Chips - Edit
This one is a little harder to review. 2 in our group had the vegan fish and chips and really enjoyed them. I had the Moroccan chickpea pie, unfortunately I was underwhelmed. Would certainly give it another try and order something different next time. Staff were friendly but were not wearing masks.

Something for everyone - Edit
This place was great, we are a group on tour with a mix of vegetarians, vegans and omnivores, here everyone was happy! Service was friendly and the food was delicious.

We loved the vegan fish and chips - very very tasty!! Tartar sauce is really good too. Today they also had a curry carrot soup, we loved it!

My kids love this place. It really does have a uk pub vibe but offers a full vegan menu - and even vegan kids menu. Informal dining and relaxed environment with outside seating too

I love that they have a separate vegan menu. They often have vegan cheezecake. My fish and chips were great and they have recently added a vegan tapas menu. I'll definitely be back to try more.

This place was amazing. The happy cow app does not allow for five stars for a restaurant that isn’t fully vegetarian or vegan but in my opinion this place deserves five stars. They have a full omnivore menu as well as a full vegan menu. The vegan menu had appetizers salads as well as for main dishes. I had the chicken wings as a starter and the jackfruit pulled pork sandwich as a main both were incredibly delicious. The service was order at the bar pub style but the ladies working there were absolutely lovely and I would 100% go back

Shepard’s pie is lovely - Edit
Yum. Well thought out and prepared menu for vegans. Takes a little time for the food but it is so delicious and hot when it arrives...worth the extra few minutes of socializing while waiting ;). Nice to have a pub I can eat at with my friends and family (especially my toddler). 👍 Shepherds pie and falafels are my favourite items, and our toddlers too ! You can sit outside on their amazing patio in the spring/summer with your furry family friends! Thanks for being awesome !

Great to see a whole vegan menu! - Edit
I was visiting a friend in Nanaimo and she suggested this place for dinner as she knew it had a specific vegan option. I was really blown away that a small town would have a place that offered this (if you go into pubs in small towns in the UK or Spain you’d have to ask for something to be made for you as a vegan). Lovely touches like saying they carried vegan cheese and butter and things, and labelling the beers and wines that are vegan. I had the fish and chips and the tartare sauce was very authentic. The fish could have been “fishier” and felt maybe more like a chicken substitute but was tasty none the less. My friend had the beyond meat burger and it looked great! Nice place and staff were really friendly and happy to answer all our questions about veganism in Nanaimo. Would recommend if you’re in town!
