The Closed Shop - Edit
Traditional pub with multiple vegan options, clearly marked and staff vegan aware. I went for the fysh and chips, an absolutely huge portion and the chips are beyond chunky! The fysh is banana blossom and had a nice crispy layer of batter. My companions really enjoyed their meals too. We’d all like to come back to try the Sunday roast soon. Dog friendly. Parking available in car park at the back of the pub or some on street.

Fantastic vegan Sunday lunch! - Edit
We visited the Closed Shop as a group of 8 vegans (including 1 gluten-avoiding vegan) and we all left very happy, after a wonderfully tasty Sunday lunch, with excellent service. Highly recommend!

Great Food Every Time - Edit
I love this pub, they have great vegan food, the staff are knowledgeable about which drinks are vegan and they have vegan cocktails as well. Used to come here pre-covid for our Sassy V events and as a couple, the food never disappointed. When it re-opened in late 2023 we couldn't wait to visit again. We enjoyed a huge Christmas meal in December 2023, and more recently we popped in for lunch one Saturday. The soup was perfectly seasoned and all the flavours were well balanced, B had the casserole which was very tasty. Can't wait to visit many more times.

Saturday 16/11/24 popped in after 1pm for lunch. I had the small portion of vegan fish & chips with mushy peas, B had the soup. Both were delicious, the vegan fish was the best I’ve had.
