Excellent vegan and vegetarian options - Edit
Found this restaurant while traveling through New Jersey. Really delicious and a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian options, and outstanding staff. Plus, it's in a very cool area with a mill, waterfall, shopping. We were delighted with our experience and will make this a destination on future travels.

everything was really good and vegan friendly af! nothing was overly salty (which is a problem at some vegan restaurants) and everything was very fresh! BEAUTIFUL outside seating and the atmosphere of the whole place is really nice!

Excellent creative vegan food, outdoor eating too - Edit
We have eaten here several times since they reopened. There are many whole food, vegan and organic options on the menu, including desserts. The restaurant is right on the river and there is outdoor seating available. Our server, Ryan, was friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was excellent. The food is great, very creative recipes. We are so glad there is a local restaurant that serves us the vegan food we like! I had the Greens and Beans for lunch which was very tasty, with fresh lemon juice and pomegranite seeds. BYO. As there are many vegan options, we won't get tired of eating here for some time!! Plus they promise to vary the menu too. I wish I could give this five stars but I can;t because they also serve local beef.

Fantastic! - Edit
I love The Clean Plate Kitchen. There is a wide variety of options on the menu for vegans and vegetarians. I LOVE that they have the option of getting a wrap in a blanched collard green leaf or a gluten free wrap. AWESOME! Every thing we tried was fantastic! The view from the restaurant is beautiful too. It's right on the river overlooking the historic mill. Would give it 5 cows if I could (only allow 4 for non-vegan restaurants). Do yourself a favor and GO!
