Delicious vegan food truck food!

Vegans in New York and New Jersey's hearts skip a beat when they find the elusive Cinnamon Snail. The truck drives to different locations in Manhattan throughout the week to deliver vegan goodness to its various constituents. If you follow the Snail on Twitter or Facebook, you can find out where the truck will be on any given day. The Snail also usually makes a stop in Jersey City on Thursdays by the Grove Street PATH in the Spring and Summer months. The truck is based out of Manalapan, New Jersey, I believe.

The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! They have sandwiches made with tempeh, seitan, and tofu. The flavors are wild as well, and include truffle, Korean BBQ, etc etc. Often, though, the sandwiches share ingredients that can detract from the experience if you are crazy like I am and chase the truck for a week to try a different sandwich each time. They use arugula in most sandwiches, so it's almost like many of the sandwiches share a common flavor, even if they are very different sandwiches.

Their desserts are absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the donuts they make with Makers Mark. Their brownies, cookies, and other sweets are also absolutely decadent. I haven't yet had breakfast at the Snail, but I bet it's great, too.

The Cinnamon Snail also bakes beautiful custom cakes and caters parties/weddings. I once ordered a custom cake for a birthday from the Snail. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, but I think it was prettier than it was delicious due to the heavy use of fondant.

Pros: All vegan food truck!, Decadent desserts!, Unique sandwiches!

Cons: Cash Only, Heavy on the arugula on most sandwiches, Heavy use of fondant on custom cakes

You can't go without trying a dessert. The Cinnamon Snail is closing when The Pennsy Food Hall closes on March 31st, so go while you can!

Incredible

I’m not even a sweets person typically but this blew me away. The vast array of donuts is unbelievable. The savory sandwiches are also banging!

Awesome option!

Love that it’s right at penn station. The donut was awesome and the sandwich was good! I got the tofu wasabi sandwich and it is definitely very spicy! Wish they had more casual and not super intense options like just a sandwich with tomato tofu onion etc , but I liked it !! Love that they have this location

Donuts!

This is my go to place for vegan donuts.

I’ve tried their lemon meringue, raspberry cheesecake, cookie monster, and several other flavors. They were all delicious and always make me come back for more.

They don’t always have the same flavors whenever I stop by, but this adds to their variety. I’m never disappointed with whatever they have to offer.

I think their prices are reasonable too. $3.50 for one donut may seem expensive compared to something like Dunkin Donuts, but I find it to be worth every penny.

Besides their donuts, I’ve only tried their mac and cheese and penne side dishes. They were okay compared to the donuts.

It’s such a shame this place is closing down its doors by the end of this upcoming March. I do hope they’ll open their doors again some day. Before that happens, I’ll keep coming back for more donuts!

Pros: Great donuts, Relatively reasonably priced

Cons: Side dishes are okay

Delicioso!

Hamburguesas riquísimas (aunque alguna pica bastante, vigilad!). Y dulces de muerte!! Lugar céntrico y fácil de encontrar. Super recomendable!

Sammies to die for!

Had wonderful food from here. The cheesy portobello steak baguette was large and very flavourful, they really packed in the toppings (be sure to grab napkins !!). Also picked up a cinnamon snail — yummy!

Loved it

Everything we tried over two visits was excellent 👌 especially the cheesy portobello steak baguette and the peanut butter cookie dough doughnut. Great spot before/after a Madison Square Garden event

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Food area can be busy so hard to find seating

Quality vegan food

My partner is a sucker for a cinnamon swirl so on a trip to NYC, Cinnamon Snail was a must go. I was pleasantly surprised to see it wasn’t just pastries but some ‘proper’ food too. Big shout out to the burger they do with mac and cheese on top. Prices are pretty reasonable. The service was fine but a bit lacklustre. I was given an incorrect doughnut as part of my order and they initially just had it off me with no words spoken and took about 30 seconds to tell me they’d replace with the correct one which was a bit odd.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Prices are good

needs to be a lot better

This is very conveniently placed for people in midtown and for travelers using Penn Station. But, I was hoping for more (even setting aside the price) and felt pretty let down.

I had the marinated kale as a starter. It seemed to be in three layers. The top layer had no seasoning at all. The middle layer had too much dressing. The bottom layer seemed to be herbed, but without dressing. Perhaps the container needed to be shaken to spread all this; but I don't know why they couldn't do it themselves, or tell me to. (Given that the container was full, it's not clear this would have helped much anyway.)

I also had the LAB (lentil artichoke burger). For a freshly-made sandwich, the lower bun was surprisingly soggy. The patty was so oily/greasy that the filling kept sliding right out of the bun on every bite. Also, the artichokes and pickles were good, but the patty itself was surprisingly bland in flavor; so once you were done eating the artichokes and pickles, you were left with a combination of bland and soggy.

Pros: location, several options

Cons: food quality

Awesome vegan donuts

All vegan! Best donuts! Awesome sandwiches! I first tried Cinnamon Snail from their food truck. Their tempeh and tofu sandwiches were amazing and the donuts - divine! And not the baked kind like many vegan donuts are but very similar to the non-vegan kinds. Their place in the city is very small but still highly recommended!

amazing!!

Mac and cheese and cinnamon snail were really great! I mean, it's not exactly cheap, but I would definitely come back here (all the time). Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit though, as it's in a food court inside the station...

Pros: vegan, amazing

Cons: food court, pricey

so good

The food here is so good, if not always the healthiest. The sandwiches are generally large and flavorful, and the pastries are delicious. Only downside, in my view, is the venue itself: it's loud and crowded and the seating is uncomfortable. Still, if you find yourself hungry near Penn Station, you have some great options here.

Pros: everything is vegan, it's all amazingly tasty, convenient if you need to catch a train

Cons: food court venue is loud and unpleasant

True gem in Pensy Food Court

My husband's favorite was the Smoked Sage Seitan burger & mine was the apple cider donut (but my Beastmode Burger Deluxe was also top notch). Soooooo tasty! Will definitely be stopping here on our way out of town to pick up a bunch of these donuts 😁😁😁

Pros: Everything is vegan!, The donuts are to die for!, So many options!

Cons: Expensive...but it's NYC

So good!

The LAB burger was one of the best, maybe the best burger Ive ever had! It’s so nice to have burger options that aren’t just beyond or impossible. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and everything delicious from the burger to the tots to the pastries. I’m so glad I made the trek!

Pros: Delicious original vegan options, Vegan donuts!, Reasonably priced

Can’t go wrong

Don’t be fooled by the food court location. Everything is vegan, so just choose whatever sounds good to you. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried—not a bad choice on the menu.

Pros: Great meals (burger, soups, “tater tots”), Amazing pastries

Cons: Find a place to eat (food court can get crowded)

Out of this world burgers

This food is hard to eat on the go, but who cares when it’s so savory and delicious! The Burgers are in my top five, along with the Kimchi Tater tots! They were all sold out of the donut I wanted, but I will be back for more
