Pricey but delicious - Edit
Great bar food for vegans. I had the Cubano with potato wedges and shared some nachos. A buddy and I also swapped half the cubano sandwich for half a crunch wrap to try out more of the menu. Everything was pretty tasty.

Decent - Edit
The nachos were pretty good but I would not order the green river wrap which was more like a coleslaw sandwich. Outdoor covered (unheated) patio seating is a major plus. Vibes are cool.

Fun selection - Edit
So many fun vegan options to try! I loved the Cubano, and the potato salad side was nice. The Krunchy Vegan is a wrap filled with a nice mix of veggies and protein and well seasoned. The atmosphere is fun to check out. They were good about taking back the plastic utensils and napkins from our take away bag. #Veganuary

Filled a craving - Edit
Visiting from Europe, I wanted food I can only get here - and their vegan versions of these Cuban dishes hit the spot. I had the Cubano sandwich and the Krunch tortilla. The sandwich had tasty mustard and pickle for contrast, the krunch was flavourful but not spicy. Both were filling portions. We got take away. Couldn’t find a menu online, but when calling for order staff will let you know the vegan options. Only had a quick look at the very unique interior, it is different.

Top rating for available items - Edit
I had the Cuban sandwich vegan option. It was super yummy. I have a delicate tummy and it was not too spicy and was savory and satisfying. I am new to vegan options, due to dairy allergies, so did not know what to expect. As a forme full time omnivore I thought the food was some of the tastiest fare I've had. Great flavors, good texture and perfect portion. This is now a favorite eatery and look forward to trying other offerings. 10/10 would highly recommend. Oh! Be sure to bring quarters for the skeeball! ;)

Tons of super tasty vegan options, very friendly bar and waitstaff, and big portions of food. Even if the decor isn’t your thing - the food is great. Wish I lived closer.

Hands down one of my favorite vegan menus in the area. Their quality, portions, flavor, and price never miss, regardless if you’re dining in or ordering to go.

Take me to church! - Edit
The Church Cantina
Read moreA bar with quite a few Vegan options (more than I expected). Has a very gothic and authentic personally, parking was fortunate- but I could imagine being worse on packed days (not sure how seriously they take their signs saying “parking for x store”.
So this is what I got:
Vegan potato salad- it’s potato salad, but it’s the “best” regular potato salad I would say I had (but doesn’t beat Okinawan sweet potato salad- anyways-) simply delicious :)
Vegan Cubano- surprised me, it’s hard to describe- but it was an easy eat, yet the taste was consistent through and through if that makes sense. their was a (what I would describe as tomato-y) taste in there that was the taste as opposed to getting a taste of the meat and ‘cheese’. Was pretty good nonetheless. I liked the presentation as well
krunchy Vegan- this one stole the show, whether the crunch wrap being something I never see in vegan cuisine, but they did it very well. Tasty, spicy, worth it!
Service was cool, can’t complain. I thought the preparation was appropriately quick and presentable. I enjoyed the food and experience- it was very good. Washington- you got finally got a 4 out of me. Worth trying if you are here to visit like myself.

100% recommend the vegan nachos. Was glad to see that there were vegan and gluten free options on the menu. Cool place to hang out and have some eats and drinks with friends.

Good vegan options amidst fun decor - Edit
Come for the decor, stay for the food. Not a lot to add to the other reviews . There are a handful of varied vegan options that appear to rotate over time. Service was really great, food was good, prices were fine.

Possibly the best vegan Mexican I've had. The crunch wrap was perfect! I can't believe HappyCow won't let me rate 5 Stars. Good prices too, and great pinball choices. Food came out fast & was less than 30 for two humans.

5 Stars - Edit
Like everybody else I agree this is a vegan options place that earns a five star review. We have been twice now. First was a split Krunchy and Nachos, both were awesome and great portion sizes. Second time we did the French toast and Nachos, kids of course went regular menu which they really enjoyed. We ended up with same bartender both times and she was awesome.

Great place! - Edit
I would give 5 stars but Happy Cow won't let me unless the place is 100% Plant based. I will still give you 5 stars here. The food is good and a lot of vegan options. I love love love their black bean bowl, rice, and fried plantains! Love the music references on their menu. If you reference Depeche Mode in a menu, I become an instant fan.

Pretty good - Edit
I got the breakfast burrito and loved it -the queso was the star of the dish. Other folks in the group got the bbq jackfruit burrito and didn’t love it, the beans were really seasoned with cumin and could’ve had a lot less. The mango slaw on it was delish! Wish they wouldn’t use the field roast chorizo so much in their dishes though, lots of better chorizos out there (both texture and flavor wise)

I'm happy they have vegan options; it would be better if they put more thought into the menu because I think you could do a lot more with vegan Cuban food. The atmosphere is really unique and very cool. The service is also always really great.

They offer 10 vegan entrees and multiple appetizers that can be veganized. They also recently updated the menu and added new vegan entrees. To say that the menu doesn’t have a variety of vegan options is just dishonest.

BIG portions - Edit
Decor aside, the food portions are insane. I got the vegan burrito for like 10 bucks and it is a fork and knife two meal ordeal. Guac wasn’t even extra! I wanted the bbq jackfruit but I knew I wasn’t that hungry, I can only imagine it to be even more filling. I swallow burritos normally, but this thing was a BEAST! Yummy rice, beans, and sweetum taters, very filling.

Also I’m big on horror so the decor was perfect for me. If you’re averse to spooky goth macabre whatever then maybe get food to go…but face your fears cus the grub is worth it!
Pros: Clearly labeled vegan menu, Goth af , Pinball!
Cons: No graveyard for me to be buried in, I wasn’t allowed to sleep in the coffin, Skeletons not made from real bones

My new fav spot in Tacoma - Edit
I love everything about this place. Definitely has that divey vibe you expect from a goth bar, but the food and drinks are top notch. I got the vegan burrito, which did not disappoint. Prices are good and the portions are large. In addition to the amazing food and beverages, the staff was great and the service was quick. Will definitely make this my new must go spot every time I visit Tacoma.
