The friendliest place on earth - Edit

I have had the pleasure of dining here several times, as they are right down the street from me 😊 every time my husband and I visit we are greeted with kind smiles and warm welcomes. They have a fantastic build your own salad menu, and often times if you tell them you’re vegan they can change something on their menu to suit your needs. They have an extremely clean kitchen and always go above and beyond. If you are dining with people that are not vegan, this is a great place to satisfy everyone in the group, I’ve been here several times with my meat eating friends who have been very impressed with their entrees. Overall, highly recommend, not just for the vegan options, but for the atmosphere as well. Oh, an added bonus- they have vegan wine! 🌱💛🌱💛

Absolutely Outstanding Salad Menu - Edit

If you are raw, or just enjoy a great salad you can not miss this place! They have a build your own salad menu that’s kinda like the sushi checklist you’re used to at the Japanese restaurant there are like 30 different things you can add to your salad including their house pickled purple cabbage (which is good enough to eat a bowl of on its own) I love this place for so many reasons, the owners are absolutely the kindest people you could ever know and they thoroughly understand what it means to be vegan and respect the cross contamination issues we face at restaurants. (Yes, they do serve meat) They also do serve Sean Minor wine which is vegan so that rocks!!! This is a fantastic restaurant to choose if you are dining with family that is not Vegan because they do offer something for everyone. I have been in the kitchen and seen first hand how clean it is, they even have a separate refrigerator for all vegan items and vegetables!!! This place is great, absolutely great. Small business is so important, and even if they aren’t a vegan restaurant it’s so important to support those in the community that truly do try to make a difference in our food system... after all isn’t part of being vegan learning to love and respect 🌱

Vegan options and awesome staff!! - Edit

The staff was very knowledgeable of vegan restrictions and are happy to accommodate. A few of the menu items are vegan as is or just without the cheese.

Outstanding Food!!! - Edit

Small restaurant, under new ownership since June 2018. Many vegetarian/ vegan options. Build your own salad, gazpacho, veggie wrap, pasta with turmeric dusted cauliflower. Vegan desserts made by a local bakery

Limited selection here, take chances elsewhere - Edit

This is a quaint little cafe and the staff is very friendly but...we went for lunch on Saturday afternoon and the handwritten menu left much to be desired. Two vegetarian choices (one of which was soup). We asked for alternatives but the server was not flexible. My wife and I shared the portobello burger and pumpkin curry soup. They were Ok but not worth staying. We regreted not leaving after seeing the menu. Recommendation: Mellow Moods Cafe in Shepherdstown, WV (20 minutes away)

Pros: friendly staff, quaint, small town atmosphere, reasonably priced

Cons: limited veg selection, inflexible menu
