Amazing!!! - Edit
Visited a couple a weeks ago with my meat eating other half and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food. The chimken wings were out of this world and the baecn dbl chs burger was the best burger I've ever had!! Cannot wait to go back. The staff were lovely too.

simple but delicious! - Edit
Really unpretentious, simple vegan junk food that is exactly what you’d expect. It is really delicious, huge portions and great value for money. All in a typical English pub setting.

Hit with a bad smell on arrival and waiting 40 minutes for burgers despite being the only people in the restaurant. The burgers were really tasty but the service/ atmosphere kind of ruined it... perhaps take away would be a better option.

Good diner-style food and vegan beers! - Edit
Great to find Brass Castle casks – I had the session IPA – and a fully vegan menu of diner food. First visit, I had the pizza burger: KFChimken patty, cheez, pepperoni, pizza sauce, pickle, mayo, served with fries and a couple of bites of slaw – red cabbage and raw onions, which I didn’t like. Vegan buns tend to fall apart when juicy fillings are involved, oh well. Next visit I had the good mac-n-cheese and the fabulous ice-cream-stuffed cookies with whipped cream. It’s rare to find vegan cask craft beers, so I would come here often if I lived here.

I like it! - Edit
For a pub this place has absolutely great food!!! I love that it is fully vegan and dog friendly as well!!! The menu is quite big and the burgers are definitely all very tasty! While I am not the biggest fan of the presentation on the up cycled school lunch trays I applaud them for doing that - I can definitely appreciate that concept. I would recommend anyone who likes the pub food experience to come here, it doesn't get any more authentic than this - except that the food is way above what you can usually expect from pub food!

Was so thrilled to know it had gone totally vegan and once I tried the food I was in heaven. The menu is amazing with lots of vegan fast food deliciousness to choose from. So sad I don't live in Liverpool anymore

Vegan pub grub, hearty and tasty, generous portions - Edit
Fully vegan since September 2017!
Read moreIt opened promptly at 12 and I was there as soon as it opened. I ordered sweet chai tea £1.50 and the ‘5 a day chilli dog’ which came with fries and cslaw £8, there was plenty.
Then I got the women’s tea and the tray bake £3.50 which was a delicious chocolate orange slice with squirty cream. Again a generous portion.
The service was quick, staff were friendly, they display and sell art work (mainly of animals from what I could see) too. The place was clean and had decent natural light for a pub!
It is dog friendly; some customers brought in their dogs.
Unfortunately they don’t take card but they directed me to the co-op shop round the corner which have a free cash machine inside. Also the food was served on bright plastic plates.
Pros: Fully vegan and tasty , Generous portions , Reasonable prices
Cons: They don’t take card, Nowhere to park nearby , Food served on plastic plates

BEST PUB EVER!!! - Edit
The Caledonia was already my favourite pub in Liverpool, but since it became 100% vegan, it has transcended to total perfection. I highly recommend the hot wings (best seitan I have ever had) and if the 'jar of joy' is tiramisu - HAVE IT!!! It is so creamy and delicious, I can't wait to scoff it again. Great selection of beers, fantasic atmosphere and regular live music - the crown of the Georgian Quarter!

Perfect - Edit
Really great food (comfort ‘junk’ style), really great staff, dog friendly, reasonably priced. Much admiration for the owners for making this step. If it was just a pub it’d still be a great one, but the commitment to being 100% vegan makes it properly special.

smashed it! - Edit
I’ve been waiting a long time for a vegan place to open that brings a bit of normality to it. Prove to the meat eaters that it can be done. I really rate this place. Good vibe, authentic old school pub, staff were awesome and the food was great !

pub grub - Edit
A good choice of ales and totally vegan menu in the Caledonia. Friendly staff and everything reasonably priced . dog friendly too. They have gone down the meat subsititue route if you're into that. Breakfast also available and cakes.

Burgers - Edit
From the outside you wouldn't know this is a vegan hotspot. Go inside and you'll be presented with a menu full of vegan junk food. I ordered the Baecn DBL Chs and was not disappointed. I've not had good experiences with "facon" in the past, but this burger was spot on. Both the patty and the baecn were some of the closest I've had to real. The patty doesn't fall apart like most vegan patties do, and the baecon has an excellent texture and taste. If you enjoy mock meats and dirty vegan junk food, this has to be one of the best spots in the UK - I personally find it better than Big V Burger in Borough Market (London). Also, they have live music most nights, and it's a pretty great place just to grab a drink even if you don't eat.
