Bakery in the park. The shop closed May 2018, however the cakes and slices are still available at the Curators Collective at the same location, and via Ubereats 7 days a week. Offers custom cake orders and pick up is also available.

Such delicious cakes - Edit
I was so excited to learn I could still get these vegan cakes through the Curators Collective. I love the taste.

More than just cakes - Edit
The Cake Collective is a little 'hole in the wall' type cafe, but around the other side is a seating area and another cafe - which includes an outdoor area for the dogs (and inside area too).
Read moreThere is quite a selection of cakes and slices such as lemon slice, brownies, carrot cake, chocolate cake and passionfruit slice.
Stools for seating in the park area, and a playground nearby.
Custom cakes are available to order. I recently ordered a choc mandarin cake with gold and chocolate icing, topped with fresh flowers. It was gorgeous.

Ugh. What a waste. - Edit
Order cake online and get quoted $30.
Read moreGo to pick up cake and don't even get acknowledged by anyone while I stand there for 5minutes. Get told it's $35 so I pay and leave with the cake. Get home, wonder what the hell just happened and don't cry over cake.
I love supporting local vegan businesses but damn, this place is terrible. Anyone wanting vegan baked goods, please go to mister nice guy and give this place a miss unless you want to be overcharged for an average af unfinished cake.
Pros: Vegan, Located in a park
Cons: Poor service , Poor quality, Overpriced

cute as a button - Edit
Lovely brunch spot right next to the lake in Queens Park. The location couldn't be more perfect for cute catch-ups with friends (including canine friends if you're the sort to take your dog to the cafe).
Read moreIt's a little confusing as while Cake Collective is, I believe, a vegan business, it shares its premises with another cafe business that is not vegan. So...there's the vegan menu from Cake Collective and the "other" cafe menu that lists similar dishes includes meat. So, it's likely you'll be dining next to someone eating a "real" burger. Weird. Anyway...
First time I ordered a vegan tiramisu via Uber Eats. To me, the sweetness overwhelmed any other flavour so I didn't enjoy it much. Next, my partner and I got some takeaway cakes and coffee after taking our dog for a walk. The cakes were a bit more complex in their flavours and I particularly liked the lemon and blueberry one. Next takeaway grab was the lamington that I also enjoyed. It had a satisfying texture that was neither too fluffy, nor too dense.
Recently, I finally ate brunch at the cafe and got to try some savoury items from their menu which is much more my style. I chose the "fat hash browns" with extra vegan sausage. Was tasty and filling AF. The sausage was chewy, salty, and just so "meaty" - I'd like to think it was homemade but may have been field roast.
Will have to go back and try a shake one day. They look EPIC and I'm sure would be like a meal in themselves. One has vegan brownie in it. YEAH!
Pros: pretty surroundings, pet friendly , tasty, filling portions
Cons: vegan status of the business a bit confusing

Love this place - Edit
I only found out about this place on Tuesday and I've eaten there twice in a row this week already! Just to be clear, I ate in the park on Thurs and Fri and bought a cake from the front of the cottage on Tuesday when they aren't open. But you can still order from urban eats.
Read moreThe first day we had a hot dog, veggie burger, cakes and I took the watermelon juice which was very refreshing. It was all really tasty and I enjoyed sitting in the park.
Today we had Waffles, lamington and a hot cross bun. Again, we really enjoyed it. We had lunch there with another person and she had the orange/ginger juice combination which she really liked.
Highly recommend this place!
Pros: variety of cakes, juices
