lovely courtyard - Edit

Went here with some freinds, we had mixed experiances, some of us liked the food and were happy with the portions.
I was very happy with the taste of the food but not happy with the size of the portions, I have travelled all over the country eating in vega/vegetarian cafes and this was the smallest meal i've ever been served as a main course. I 'm afraid I will not be going back. I felt really ripped off.

Pros: lovely courtyard

Cons: very small portions, very small portions, Very small portions

lovely cafe & dog friendly - Edit

We can on Monday especially for breakfast to learn they only have the b/f menu on a Saturday (at time if writing this is not on their website) bit cross but all was forgiven when presented with a chocolate and avocado cake -amazing! After explaining our breakfast disappointment the owner put together a rather nice hummus, cauliflower and pitta plate - pictures uploaded. Lovely garden and the lunch menu looked really tasty. Pros: fresh delicious food

Cons: no breakfast menu on week days only cakes (scones

Favourite place to have lunch in Kingsbridge - Edit

I always have coffee and lunch here and know it will be excellent. The garden is the best place to eat on a sunny day but it's always nice to look down into the exhibition area of Harbour House as there's usually something interesting going on there. Friendly staff, food excellent, good value for money and you do not feel like you are being rushed .... I sit there with my ipod or read one of the magazines available. Would like to see more menu changes but as I'm not in Kingsbridge very often ......

Pros: Excellent food, , good value, great vibe

Cons: Menu a bit predictable

Pleasant art centre cafe with some vegan options - Edit

The cafe has a great setting, pleasant tables inside and several tables in the pretty back garden. They were happy for our dog to sit with us in either space, even though that means coming through the building to get there. There was a dog bowl out in the garden for him.
None of their dishes were made specifically vegan or marked up but several could easily be adapted to be ok. Staff knew what was in things so were able to help with this though I was surprised a veggie place hadn't marked up vegan options or created some vegan dishes.
It's very typical veggie cafe food - morrocan tagine with couscous, or falafel and pitta, all served with salad. The portions were quite generous (particularly the tagine) and the food was tasty.
Their only vegan cake was a carrot and nut effort that they keep on standby in the freezer in case of awkward people demanding "special" food "it's vegan, gluten free and everything". We didn't try it. If a cake can't hold its own in competition with the other cakes on display at the counter I'm a bit suspicious!
