SERIOUSLY good food! - Edit
My friend and I visited The Butcher's Son whilst we were in town and their brunch was AMAZING! I ordered an almond mylk hot chocolate as well as a bagel with cream cheese, avocado, tomato & garlic butter. It was SO full of flavour! The atmosphere of this place is also amazing.

Best Vegan Comfort Food in the World! - Edit
SOMETHING FISHY $6 - This appetizer comes with 6 pieces of seasoned and fried jackfruit and tartar sauce on the side. I was skeptical. I've had jackfruit. Ain't no way they can make it "fishy." Well, luckily I didn't bet on it because I was so wrong! I don't know if it's the batter, the seasoning, or a combination of the two, but it had the flavors of the sea. It was very good! Don't expect it to taste exactly like fish; it doesn't. It's a juicy, delicious, innovative, cruelty-free alternative. Their tartar sauce is also really tasty.

BUFFALO BACON RANCH FRIED CHICKEN $11.25 - Ordered sans ranch. Unbe-freggin-lievable! I ordered this to go and told them it was going on a plane, so they packaged the lettuce and potato salad (my side of choice) in separate containers. When I arrived home, 5 hours later, the sandwich was beyond amazing. The "chicken" is fried southern-style, and was still crispy all those hours later. The "bacon" is suspiciously excellent. It is hands down the best vegan bacon around. I could kick myself for not ordering a pound or 2 to bring home with me. They did forget to add buffalo sauce, so that made me a little sad (I love spicy thangs), but perhaps it was for the best... It may have gotten too soggy with it with the buffalo sauce on it. Next time.
POTATO SALAD - I ordered as the side dish for both sandwiches. It is good. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's really good, and I’d order it again.
DESSERT: Brownies and a chocolate bundt cake were all that was left when I was there. I got a slice of the chocolate cake -$4.00. It was a rich, moist, fudge-chocolate cake with a dab of chocolate frosting atop. It was delicious!
Friendly employees and stupendous eats at reasonable prices. My only issue with them is that they only have this CA location. (Please come to AZ!) There are another 1/2 dozen things on the menu that I need to try. I am very much looking forward to returning.

Yum yum yum! What a selection, too hard to choose from, just close your eyes and point to something. Service (orders at the counter) was fast and friendly. The hardest part was choosing just one of the 10 or more desserts.

I'm still working my way through but have enjoyed each order: Bacon Cheese Burger, Steak and Egg Hoagie, Original Grinder.
I'm usually grabbing dessert treats like Blueberry Cheesecake, Cannoli and Donuts as well. I was so happy to have Cannoli again in my life!!!
I've come to treat myself to the Buffalo Fired Mozzarella and Ranch Sticks regularly. Dude, they are melting inside. Just the tastiest gooey mess.

I ordered buffalo bacon ranch fried chicken and it was amazing!! The portion was huge and came with a side I picked bacon macaroni salad which was delicious! The fried chicken was so crispy and huge in size and the bacon on it was the best I've ever tasted! My husband ordered fried mozzarella and meatball sandwich that had grilled onions,mushrooms and peppers on garlic bread with marina sauce and that was by far my favourite between the two meals we ordered and was also huge portion! We got two chocolate chip cookies to go and a cherry cheesecake! The cookies were chewy yet really crispy with gooey chocolate chips! The food exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go to San Francisco again just to eat here.

Don't miss ! Delicious burgers and sandwiches - Edit
We tried the fried "chicken" and "grinder" (in the picture I said it's pulled "pork", but it's not, it's "grinder") burgers, with potato salad and macaroni salad - absolutely delicious.
Read moreInitially I was afraid the plant based meats might taste too much like animal flesh, but happily their dishes are flavorful and delicious without resembling meat at a freaky level.
For dessert we tried the cannelloni with pistachio, this was the highlight of our meal, so full of flavor !
Apparently one of their best dishes is fried "mozzarella" and "meatball" sandwich, unfortunately they were out of "mozzarella" when we went there.
We were very happy with everything: food, service, location. Can't wait to go back and try their famous fried mozzarella burger.

I stopped in for lunch with two other friends. We were really excited to try everything and had a hard time deciding. We ended up with the pulled pork with macaroni salad, sriracha pepper steak sandwich with potato salad and the fried ravioli and mozzarella. It was very tasty although I thought the pulled pork's BBQ sauce was a bit too sweet and too much while my friend wanted more sriracha taste to hers, so probably just personal taste for each of us. I definitely want to try more menu items when I can back in town again.

Best vegan food I've had yet! - Edit
I got the Caprese sandwich and my boyfriend got the fried ravioli. They were both absolutely delicious! The Caprese sandwich had vegan mozzarella cheese and it was the best mozerelli cheese i've ever tasted. You could not tell the difference between their cheese and non-vegan mozzarella. If you're looking for a good vegan cheese this is the place to go! I also got their bacon maple donut and their Cannoli Donut. Both were absolutely amazing and the Cannoli Donut was so creamy and not too sugary. It's my new favorite vegan restaurant in the bay area.
