Nice Pub, OK Food - Edit
It is so nice to find an independent pub that is not attached to a chain as they have some much more character and this one is no exception. The pub feels like a proper local's place and has a really nice atmosphere. It's also comfortable and cosy and they have a pool table which is quite rare these days. The garden is also huge and I believe they have events and things on, check their social media for info.
Read moreI was surprised to see a place like this offering so may vegan options. The pizza we tried was OK but a very thin crust, could have done with being thicker and with more veggies. They didn't have any vegan cheese for my daughter's garlic bread but to make up for it they brought all three of us a free scoop of vegan ice-cream. A very nice gesture, we thought! Definitely like the pub and we will be back to try the other dishes, we might not have picked the best but the pizzas were buy one get one free on the night we visited.
Pros: Lots of vegan options for a pub like this, Proper local's pub, Kind staff
Cons: Sells meat and dairy, Pizza wasn't spectacular
