Brilliant vegan options!

Had a vegan dinner there the other day and was lovely! The meat substitute was a ‘fake’ chicken breast and it was tasty’ come with all the trimmings (minus York pud) and enjoyed every bit!! Would recommend. They have a fully vegan menu there too for other days

Pros: Brilliant food, Amazing service , Warm welcome

Good vegan menu

Great service and a good quality vegan menu that isn't fake meat and burgers. Excellent food, all cooked on site and decent portions :)

Pros: A proper vegan menu, All freshly cooked on site, Better than most restaurants with vegan options

Outstanding!

Beautiful pub with slate flagstones and traditional low beams.
The beer garden is charming and is situated along a river.
As for the food, there are several vegan options clearly marked under a separate vegan heading (yay) and all are delicious and varied.
The staff are amazingly friendly and knowledgable and remembered us visiting a year ago as we were equally enthusiastic then too.
Dog friendly which was a dream for us
I love this place!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Cons: None

Excellent Place For Vegans!!

The vegan menu is delicious especially the Sunday lunches and the homemade brownies and ice cream. The Brit staff are friendly and can not do enough for you, its also dog friendly so all the family is welcome. In the winter the log fire burns in the bar, this is a great area to eat after a nice winter walk with your dog.

Pros: Serves Vegan Sunday Lunch (delicious), Excellent vegan pub menu , The Best vegan chocolate brownie and ice cream

A nice meal

There were a decent amount of vegan options with 5 pies, mushroom risotto, lasagne, and a tart as possible mains and a few starters and sides.

I enjoyed a lovely “swedey Todd” pie (by mr nice pie) with mash and gravy. The mash was a little bland and the gravy a little watery but overall a very nice meal. My mum had the vegan lasagne with chips and loved it.
We decided not to have pudding, but there was one vegan option of brownie and ice cream (I noticed that this is a new edition since January).

Delicious

Had lovely meal at this characterful pub. The staff were very kind and friendly and had booked us a table by the radiator as I had mentioned that my mother was very elderly. I had the vegan lasagne which absolutely delicious and a vegan brownie which was also very nice. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his vegetarian halloumi and mushroom burger and sticky toffee pudding.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Lots of character

Cons: No vegan icecream to go with the brownie, Wheelchair access might be difficult.
