Nice pub with decent vegan options. - Edit
A number of vegan starters and mains but could do a few more.
Read moreWe had the tofu starter and 'ratalloni' - a clever fusion of ratatouille and cannelloni.
Pros: Tasty food, Good beer, Friendly staff
Cons: Slightly limited choice of vegan options

Surprise and delight - Edit
I had checked out the menu before visiting to ensure they were some Vegan choices, so I knew that we'd eat at the very least.
Read moreWhat I wasn't expecting necessarily was to be so pleasantly surprised by everything else. The pub was immaculate inside and out, decor was pleasing and the service was excellent. A young of staff was holding the fort by herself and doing an amazing job - bright, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Service was quick but not rushed and the atmosphere with roaring log fire and some sounds of the 60s/70s was perfect.
We opted for the Tofu Po'boy Sandwiches with some chips on the side - and they were delicious and a very generous size - not cheap, but worth paying for. There were some larger Vegan mains available, and we were told the Ice Cream is vegan - but we were full anyway.
A very enjoyable visit and no doubt we will be back.
Pros: Some nice Vegan choices, Lovely atmosphere, Excellent Staff
Cons: Would be nice to see more Vegan desserts.

Traditional county pub with delicious vegan options - Edit
I had a really tasty butternut and chickpea burger which came with Korean coleslaw, caramelised onions and chips (vegan option is without the cheese). Hubby had a Pieminster pie (there were 2 vegan options to choose from) and a choice of either mash or chips, and mushy peas or veg.
Read moreThe dessert menu didn’t state any vegan offerings (and we didn’t ask as we were too full from our mains!) but it looked like the sorbet would be the only potential sfv pud which is a shame.
Very nice and friendly place, and very accommodating to doggy visitors with water bowls and sturdy hooks attached to many of the outside tables.
Pros: A decent amount of vegan options, Friendly staff , Dog friendly
Cons: Serves meat , Only vegan dessert option underwhelming (sorbet?)
