This place was wonderful. I picked up several baked goods for my plane ride home and the man at the counter went and grabbed a special pastry from the shelf and said “as a thank you for being my customer.” My husband and I sat at a table to wait for our taxi and he brought us a cookie to enjoy while we waited. I can’t say enough about the kindness we experienced and the treats were so perfect!

i’ve been coming here since it was called the bread blue maybe 3 years ago and the food is always good! i haven’t tried everything but i liked the breads i did try. and i especially loved the hot matcha latte.

I found so many of the Asian baked breads from my childhood that I could no longer eat after going vegan here!! I missed them so much! Also the owner speaks English and is so nice; he gave us an extra bag of free rolls!

this has become one of my favorite vegan bakery! Love their apple cinnamon roll! It’s so good 😋 They also sell vegan pizza and cakes and lots of good pastries! The owner is really nice~~ every time i’m there he gives me extra pastry 🥳 Should really try it if you can!

I have lived in Korea for almost a year now, and I’ve only just discovered Haemil Bakery, and I think it’s one of the best I’ve come across! So much to choose from and it’s all delicious. The owner is so friendly and also speaks English. The price is cheap, all reasonably priced. I recommend the pizza and curry bun. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Hongdae!

I’m staying in Seoul couple of weeks and I keep going back here, the owner is so kind he even gifted me some sweets. The food is delicious, bread so soft you wouldn’t believe it’s vegan. I love it!

Haemil is my favourite bakery I've tried in Seoul so far! There's quite a variety of breads and other things available, the owner is nice and most importantly... everything is delicious and very reasonably priced!
Read moreSo far I've had the sweet potato latte, the chocolate muffin (which he warmed up for me) a peanut streusel kind of bread and the small free coconut cake. All of it tasted very flavorful and satisfying, not too sweet (except for the drink maybe). I can't wait to go back and try more things :)

There's nothing like being greeted with such a large range of vegan bakes, desserts, breads and treats of all kind. Haemil did a great job at it, with sweet to savoury. Their brownies were great, as well as their cookies and breads. The staff member gave us a free cookie as well which was lovely!

TRY THE SWEET POTATO LATTE!!! Very hard to get vegan anywhere else. aaaaah so good. Also the breads take me back to my childhood.

Our favourite cafe/bakery in Seoul - Edit
Absolutely delicious food with so much variety. Myself and my husband visited here twice during our visit (would have visited more if we had found it earlier in our trip). The owner is absolutely lovely, and makes you feel really welcome. The atmosphere here is amazing, we will definitely return the next time we come to Seoul!

I went here today for lunch and it was so nice! I had some kind of ham and cheese bread (both made from soy) and the man behind the counter was really nice and heated it up for me! The bread was fluffy and soft and the cookie with nuts was lovely too! I also had a mocha frappuchino and it goes great with the cakes, very big and heavy though, I honestly bought to much, but it was amazing!

The gentleman behind the desk was super friendly and really engaging. You can tell he cared a lot about vegan baking. Everything is delicious here, I got the vegan pizza to go which was delicious. And all the sweet treats are yum!

I've been going to The Bread Blue almost every day since it's so close to where I am staying, but I wanted to try this place too. They are very similar but do offer slightly different options. I got an iced toffee nut latte and a mocha bun, and then the owner gave me a free cookie for coming by. Everything was delicious, and that was so nice of the owner. I have been by The Bread Blue numerous times, but they have never offered me anything.

The vibe here is super friendly and open, and it is the type of place anyone can feel comfortable hanging out. The lattes and pastries were all delicious and fresh. The owner gave us a few free treats to try as well. He is a really kind man and is helpful answering questions about the items in the cafe.

I came here and I couldn't choose haha. There are a lot of good options. Both sweet and savory. I had a sweet red bean bun, pizza bread, and a sweet potato bread. The red bean bun was okay but couldn't be heaten up. The others the owner heated up and were very nice. In total it costed me 8200 won. The owner is very nice and gave me half of a pretzel stick. I would definitely recommend this place.
