Decent vegan options, a bit hit and miss - Edit
We were happy to find a pub in Harwich with a surprisingly good and varied vegan selection. The atmosphere was a bit loud and chaotic, but it was a Saturday evening, so that’s probably to be expected.
Read moreWe ordered the vegan burger with six onion rings and the jacket potato with chili sin carne. What arrived was a bit odd: the burger came with just 2.5 onion rings (yes, really) and a few fries – possibly as a replacement? Not sure, but it was a bit confusing. That said, the burger itself was tasty!
The jacket potato was quite dry, with a small portion of chili that sadly lacked any spice. We added some extra sides – fries (because technically there weren’t any listed with the burger), peas, and a side salad. Everything was okay, but nothing mind-blowing.
Drinks were good and very reasonably priced. All in all, not a bad choice given the limited vegan options in Harwich – just a bit of a strange experience with the food presentation.
