10 year vegan / vegetarian alongside my wife. We’ve dined out across the world seeking out vegan food that is pushing the vegan boundaries. The team at the Botanist are doing exactly that. We ate at the restaurant one night and ended up dining for three. This is not a personal flex story(!) I just want to express how good the food is and that it’s worth travelling for this menu, and to say thank you to the team for creating such delicious food. The menu is so extensive and diverse. The sea broth soup, the fish, goulash, beef Wellington and desserts are some of the best and most creative meals we’ve had anywhere. Plan your holiday around dining here!

It was delicious and dreamy. Also it was curious that the "meat" had a very realistic structure. The Goulash was amazing and the burger too. As a dessert they had three varieties of cakes and the bounty and the cheesecake one were so yummy. The location was outside with a straight view to the ocean. Beautiful evening. Really would visit it again. Maybe in the next days...

Das Botanist ist ein typisch dalmatinisches veganes Restaurant. Ich bestellte Taselett Wobbegong; Polenta mit Pilz Brodetto, getrockneten Feigen, Oliven und Kapern.

Mein Freund bekam dem Mata Mata Burger mit Kartoffel Wedges. Der Burger war klasse, das Paty war sehr sehr lecker.
Mein Freund freute sich über das Benediktiner Weissbier. Die 0,5-Flasche wurde mit einem 0,3-Babyweizenglas serviert. Als wir nachfragten, bekamen wir ein normales Bierglas in der richtigen Größe, damit die Hefe vollständig in das Glas gegossen werden konnte.
Das Restaurant bietet sehr viele Tische im Innen- und Außenbereich.

The Botanist is a typical Dalmatian vegan restaurant. I ordered the polenta with mushroom brodetto, dried figs, olives and capers.
The polenta was very greasy and oily and with too few vegetables. Unfortunately I didn't like it.
My friend got the Mata Mata burger with potato wedges. The burger was great, the patty was very tasty.
My friend was happy about the Benedictine wheat beer. The 0.5 bottle was served with a 0.3 baby wheat glass. When we asked, we were given a normal beer glass of the right size so that the yeast could be poured completely into the glass.
The restaurant offers many indoor and outdoor tables.

Very thoughtful traditional Dalmatian food in a scenic location with friendly staff. You can see that the aim of the restaurant is to be authentic and top notch, high quality. They are superb and I wish I had the money and time to go there every day. Loved the little details like the description of the dishes and the founding story as well.

The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, there is a nice story behind the opening of the restaurant. The location is ideal, right next to the sea. The whole menu is vegan and described in much detail. The food was great, wide selection of local cuisine. It is a bit on the expensive side - each dish is around 15-20€ - but honestly worth it.

Read moreWe ordered a Aye Aye Burger and a Mata Mata Burger. Both were delicious! One more classic and comfort food (beyond meat burger) and the other more culinary with a tasty flavor combination along side the beetroot burger. We’re aiming to go back tomorrow to try some more goodness!

Went back today for the Olm and Cynical Quaker. Up there with the best vegan dishes we had! Happy we had a second day to eat here :)
The bounty cheese cake was very good too!
