Brilliant! - Edit
We ate dinner at the Botanist, and it was a fantastic experience! The food takes you on a tasty journey! We were delighted to buy the local fig vinegar on the table directly from the restaurant since we liked it. The staff was super friendly and made the whole experience wholesome! Super food! Really recommend. If we had stayed in Zadar, we would have come back for a second round. 🌱🥰

Vegan heaven in Zadar - Edit
We dined here for lunch yesterday, and will go back for dinner tonight. It was a delicious meal, and we struggled to make our meal choices because everything sounded intriguing! Hence why we will return to try something else.
Read moreAmbience and service are great - it has a casual fine dining experience (and price tag 🙄), with a lovely garden on the Riva. Spend a long time here, enjoy the food and enjoy the setting.
Food was tasty and really creative. Truly shows how plant-based cuisine can be inventive and more than just salads. We tried the "filet mignon with potato-pave layers of creamy potato chips, baby carrots, beetroot cream, and red wine reduction with chocolate" as well as the "orzotto with beans, zucchini, and asparagus". Both dishes delicious and executed well. Priced high, but we are dining for a cause; more vegan fine dining restaurants please!
Pros: Completely vegan restaurant, Creativity and execution , Ambience and experience
Cons: Expensive , Might be too "meaty" for those put-off by that

One has a beautiful view on the sea and the wind is really refreshing( if one sits outside). A good restaurant - Edit
Very nice location, and a very interesting menu.
Read moreWe liked it, but there is a like bit missing to reach the Nishta in Dubrovnik or the Barakokula in Split; the very last passion and nuances to make a difference.
But anyway: A very good restaurant, very friendly staff.
The desserts are a little bit overpriced, prices for the mains are reasonable.

Great food and friendly staff - Edit
Really great food and quite a fancy experience. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. A bit dark for taking photo's of the food but great to enjoy the ambiance. The food is quite pricey so be aware when going. Awesome to see a fully vegan restaurant in Zadar though!

Nice vegan place - Edit
We ordered the carrot entree that was very nice. For the mains I ordered the orzoto with vegetables and it was not really tasty and my partner ordered the vegan green burger and it was nice and the potatos are the best. For dessert we ordered the apricot cheesecake it was very nice. Next day I ordered the stew with meat and gnocchi because they didn’t have the day we went and it was okay

Zadar’s first fully vegan venue delivers - Edit
The Botanist opened in Zadar just a few weeks ago and is the first fully vegan restaurant here. It is excellent. Rather than try the awesome looking burgers I saw others eating (I will be back for those!) I decided to sample the traditional recreations of Croatian dishes. The starter was a bit like ratatouille on focaccia (quirkily named Sarcastic Fingers) and my main was Olm, a tofu-based ‘phish’ set on potato, cauliflower and white wine mash. It was delish! I was very full after these two courses so had no room for dessert, I highly recommend and will be back to sample more of the menu during my stay.

Lots of tasty food and all vegan so we didn't have to worry about whether we were ordering something which was actually not veggie! Each dish had a creative name which was interesting. There was some garlic tzatziki which came with the burger and was delicious! The dessert was also excellent!

First time was perfect, next dat we left because the staff did not even bother. - Edit
On our first night in Zadar we had diner here. The Waitress was very friendly and the food tasty. Since the dish we wanted to taste was not available we decided to go back the next evening. We arrived around 9pm, there were not many guests, not inside nor outside. There were three waiters but none of them paid attention to us, they were chatting. After ten minutes one of them past by and told us she would bring the menu. Another 5 minutes later the other one brought the menus - mine was upside down. We waited for another 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order but the three waiters continued chatting and running around doing nothing. Then we decided to get up and leave since we did not feel welcome at all. The boss approchesd us and asked what was wrong. We explained and all het could say was that he was sorry and that he had to rely on unqualified staff !!

Bit of a let down - Edit
We went to the restaurant with high expectations based on the menu, pictures and reviews. Unfortunately the food wasn't too tasty. My gnocchi turned out to be a sweet potato dense pancakes with rubbery "meat" without much flavour. My friend was disappointed with his plain food as well.
Read morePlus, after main dish we were both hungry, so better start with some appetizer and dessert to be satisfied. 3 starts because the location is nice, stuff was friendly and it is only vegan place is Zadar. But the food was a serious disappointment.
Pros: Fully vegan , Nice location , Great outdoor sitting
Cons: Poor food, Small portions , Price don't match quality of the food
