this is an incredible gastronomic experience. the service is super friendly and are able to explain alle the dishes. the retaurant itself is very beautifully designed and the view on the sea is just amazing! thank you very much.

The food was inventive and delicious. We went twice and enjoyed different food both times. So nice to have a full vegan restaurant where we have choice of what to eat instead of just two dishes on a menu in other places.

Es war so lecker, wir hatten je eine Vorspeise und ein Hauptgericht. Klar, mit Getränken 73€ allerdings erste Meereslinie und hervorragendes Essen. Es war jeden Cent wert.

Read moreWe tried 6 items from the menu and were super pleased with 5/6 unfortunately the gnocchi dish fell a bit flat. The staff took the feedback well and offered us a free dessert to compensate and overall the experience exceeded all our expectations - really recommend!

Ci siamo recati da “the botanist” che non c’era posto e una sorta di temporale in corso. Abbiamo dovuto aspettare un’oretta prima di poterci mettere seduti ma già dall’antipasto ci siamo resi conto che avevamo fatto la scelta giusta!!! Abbiamo preso un antipasto in due, un main course a persona e il dolce di nuovo diviso in due, una torta bounty deliziosa…il tutto accompagnato da un cocktail fantastico ai frutti rossi. Circa 75€ il tutto ma è stato davvero ottimo, nulla da invidiare a i migliori ristoranti Michelin. Il servizio eccellente, non c’entra molto, ma fa la sua parte.

Worth the whole holiday - Edit
We had the cheeriest waiter, who was super helpful, made great suggestions and even saved my cake from when I first sat down to ensure I got a piece! I got the filet mignon equivalent and I am planning a holiday back to have it again. Price is equivalent to an upscale steak house and it was all vegan. My partner had the stew and loved it. The cake of the day was good, but the raw cake was a creamy masterpiece. The coffee was divine. And after this experience my jeans no longer fit.

As someone already wrote - didn't quite live up to the expectations we had after reading the great reviews. The service was great when we were seated but it ended there. We waited for a very long time (>1h) for fancy-named but ordinary veggie stew and hummus on toast :/

Maybe because of all the raving reviews but we found the menu kind of hit or miss. The fish on white puree was amazing, the rest did not live up to expectations. Great asmosphere great staff. Sit outside if you can.

Zadar as a city is okay but not the burner. The Botanist saves everything! First, the location can't be beat for dining out. The staff is super friendly. Our waiter loves his job, you could tell that and he was really great as a waiter! The food looks great, tastes great (okay, I had to ask for salt) and also fills you up. The prices are absolutely fair for everything you get there. I've been to every big city in Croatia and this is the best restaurant in Croatia I've been to so far!

Had some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had here at The Botanist. They are an all vegan restaurant and they really have something for everyone here. Highly recommend to both vegans and non-vegans!
Read moreI had the stone of the sea soup, the fillet mignon and cocounut chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was very tasty and the wine that they recommended to me was also very good. I’ll be back again and again and again😄
