Very fun vibe - all milks the same price. - Edit
A couple options, that were lovely. Didn't charge extra for the milk and had a big pot of tea.

Lovely place to visit - Edit
We visited The Book Nook for breakfast. I had the vegan avocado bagel and my husband had the non-vegan cheddar and cream cheese bagels. All where very good. The avocado bagel was quite filling, the other two where less stuffed, so not a full breakfast on their own. We also took some with us for the road. We chose the vegan cream cheese, the vegan cheddar, the vegan butter and strawberry jam bagel and a vegan brownie. They all tasted great!

Decent vegan cakes - Edit
Decent choice of vegan cakes, millions of cowless milks. Plus it's an indie bookshop!

Super cute spot - Edit
Stopped here on our way out of Edinburgh on our way to the Highlands and it was a lovely place to get a great cup of coffee and some bagels. We had a bagel with cream cheese and a beetroot bagel sandwich, both super good. Adorable little place, loved the vibe inside!

Super cute place to have breakfast. I had a bagel vid avokado and things. Really tasty. First I thought it was a little small but after eating it I realise it was just enough. They had a lot of options

Cosy and tempting - Edit
I had a delicious blackberry brownie, something I'd never heard of before but hope to find again. There weren't a huge number of vegan options but it's understandable a book shop would be geared for a wider audience.

The best bagel! - Edit
The curried/coronation chickpea bagel is incredible! We've actually been twice in a short space of time. First time we tried the avocado bagel and curried chickpea, second time we both went for the curried chickpea.
Read moreThe staff were great at handling any allergy questions we had and dealt with this appropriately without it feeling embarrassing or overwhelming to have to ask. All food was prepared separately.
The café itself is lovely with a wide range of books available to read and/or buy: large range of LGBTQ and disability inclusive books for kids and adults. Also, have a selection of pins and stickers available.
Will definitely continue going here!
Pros: Curried chickpea bagel, Everything made separately due to allergies
Cons: Quite loud for a reading environment

A haven for bookworms - and tasty bagels! - Edit
The Book Nook is a combination of a café and a bookshop. The tables are located right next to the shelves. You order at a counter and your food and drinks are brought to you. We both had the avocado bagel and it was delicious! Seriously one of the best bagels we have ever had. They also have lots of different sorts of tea and plant milk for hot drinks.
Read moreThe atmosphere was really nice because there were many locals and students. Apparently it is a popular place for students to come and put in some work reading or writing. It is just a feel-good place!
The shelves are beautiful, too, and there are many bookish goodies on sale such as bookmarks, mugs, literary postcards etc.
We simply loved The Book Nook and did not want to leave!

Cozy café - Edit
I loved it here! The book shop is so cozy and the decorations are lovely. Had the vegan pastrami bagel and later the vegan cream cheese one. Liked them both! Recommend to bring some time to look around the bookshop. Around lunchtime it can be pretty busy.
