Nice place

A couple of years ago they had no vegan options. Nice to see that there is quite a few now. I had a vegetable wrap and chips. There was also a mushroom burger or curry to choose from (summer menu). Affordable, too.

Push “The Boat” out with a smashing Sunday roast

Ordered the Vegan Candied Vegetable Roast for £14.75 which came with a plentiful scattering of pumpkin seeds on top of a splodge of tomato sauce. Ordering on the App but took 45 mins from ordering to delivery and came with vegan roast potatoes, carrots, parsnip, broccoli and a small jug of gravy. Needed an additional jug of gravy which was free so add it regardless, otherwise it’s another wait. The roast tasted bloody amazing. Having tried vegan roasts in so many places it was nice to get something which wasn’t a mush or overly sweet. The vegetables were nice and it’s great to seen them making and effort with vegan roast potatoes. On the whole it was a smashing Sunday lunch.

Also ordered a vegan Squashage and mushroom roll £6.75, with garden vegetables £2.75 and vegetarian spring onion mash £2.50. For £12 it was a great dinner and It’s tasted really nice.

Pros: Vegan roast was great, Lots of vegan options, Nice outdoor seating

Cons: Not cheap but not too expensive either , Long wait

Attentive staff and tasty food

This is one of the Vintage Inns chain and so far the food was the best of the lot that I have visited. Falafels for starter followed by the burger which was excellent. The waitress was vegan and ensured that all was fine. A lovely location. There were three or four options for all courses.

Pros: Good range of options, Attentive knowledgeable staff, Tasted nice

I have been twice now and both times I really enjoyed my meals and the service. It’s also a really beautiful place with a warm cosy atmosphere. So glad that they have a vegan menu and hope it remains
