This small cafe, located in a blue house on the main street in Haydenville, offers homemade fare that is individually prepared with love. It has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere that can either fill up quickly or offer a quiet setting in which to relax. The menu is about half vegan. Regular choices include burritos, home baked ginger sesame tofu, peanut noodles, avocado and house portobello sandwiches, hummus, chili and various salads. Coffee is locally roasted and fair trade, and teas are fair trade. The owners and staff are well-versed in veganism.
The Blue House Cafe offers breakfast that includes vegan items, with a breakfast burrito and tofu scramble. Live music happens Friday evenings 6:30pm for no cover. Also have live string band Sundays 2-4pm. NOVEMBER SHUT DOWN MEMO BY OWNER.

cute cosy setting with good food - Edit
I had the delicious house portobello pannini for lunch and an iced soy chai- both were very good. The owners were very accommodating in veganizing the meal, and brought out a small side salad at my request to accompany the sandwich. Baked goods were offered that were vegan and/or gluten free, but I was too full to try them.
Read moreThe setting was very comfortable & cozy, with a few tables occupied by a few small groups of people chatting. There was a kids' corner where one child occupied herself.
I am looking forward to my return to the Blue House Cafe- either for breakfast for the tofu scramble or for another yummy lunch. Their Indigo Coffee is my favorite locally roasted coffee.
Pros: good food, good cafe drinks, nice atmosphere
