Only salad - Edit
I called and asked if they had any vegetarian options and they said no only salad. I don’t know if they use to have vegan/vegetarian food but it doesn’t seem that way anymore

Some Options in NL - Edit
Saw The Blue Deck on HappyCow and decided to check it out for lunch last weekend. There are about 4 options on the menu listed as vegan and we tried the fries, falafel and brussel sprouts. All were delicious! They also have an Asian Crunch Salad listed as vegan but the descriptions says "honey balsamic dressing" so maybe check beforehand or order it without dressing?
Read moreWish they had a few options on the entrees and sandwiches side of the menu but I was very satisfied with the things we tried and there aren't many options in this town so I definitely recommend it if you're in the area or want to go out for a meal and some drinks with omnivores.

Our new favorite downtown spot! - Edit
We found The Blue Duck unexpectedly when we tried another spot on the same road that touts vegan fare but failed to deliver. Their loss, however, is The Blue Duck’s (and our) gain! The service is friendly, entertainment awesome, and the bartenders are AMAZING with their creative drink choices, but let’s get to what these reviews are really about… the food!
Read moreThe first time we went we just had drinks and the fries and as someone who has become a self-proclaimed French fry expert since becoming vegan 😂, the fries were great! The next time, we decided to try the crispy Brussels sprouts and falafel. First, there are many flavors of the brussels and they are SO tasty! The unexpected part for me was the falafel. Honestly? They’re the best I’ve had in the area! Every time I’ve gotten them elsewhere, they are so dry and NEED sauce. These were the most delicious, flavorful, moist falafel I’ve ever had to where the sauce was just a bonus! I did NOT expect falafel to be the star at a bar!
My hope is that The Blue Duck will add a couple more vegan items to the menu such as a burger option or even vegan wings… we’d be there very week for date night! It’s definitely needed and welcome in this area with no fully vegan restaurants in town!
Pros: Friendly Service , Flavorful Food , Wonderful Entertainment
Cons: Need more vegan items!
