What a shame

I was so happy to see a Sunday lunch having a vegan option.
Unfortunately not only have I realised I like a bargain but also a more hearty portion. So one carrot, half a parsnip, two potatoes, a tablespoon of cabbage, a slice of wellington and a tiny jug of gravy didn’t exactly fill me up and at £18 not my usual spend. I was ok with the price when it did have a massive yorkshire pudding on it but despite checking when ordering that there was a vegan option available, checking when it was brought to the table if it was vegan. It wasn’t until we queried the yorkshire that they quickly whisked it away. We got a very wishy washy apology but we’d already paid so I got the feeling of oh well.
Such a shame as we have been very well fed elsewhere on this trip but for our Anniversary tonight I wanted perfection.
The seats were very comfy and the pub had a lovely atmosphere hopefully it was just a poorly managed mistake.

You'd be surprised

If you fancy a nice vegan meal in a proper pub, then I thoroughly recommend the Blue Boar. At £6.50 the meals are cheap and surprisingly fresh and tasty. With a pint it came in under a tenner, so I am happy. It makes a lovely change from going to all the usual kinds of places to have a meal.
