White supremacy prevails here

The Block off Biltmore is not a safe space for poc's or any marginalized group. They are frauds and their claimed mission statement is a scheming hypocrisy. I already had reservations about going to this place because of their shady business dealings. But on Monday I planned my first visit for the Uhuru Movement fundraiser. There were two extremely obnoxious white people overtly acting in aggression against the Uhuru representative's message. The business owner, the bartenders and staff all allowed it by staying silent. A sort of fight ensued and rather than listening and hearing the poc's that had been acting in self defense, they were treated like criminals and told to leave with physical force. There's definitely solidarity here, but it's not with poc's or other marginalized groups.

The only reason this place has 2 stars is because one star is automatic. They don't serve food and have milk products - that's not vegan. What a farce.

Cons: They're not vegan, They don't support communities of color, They employ undocumented people and then don't pay

I didn't see your comment on my review until today. It's messed up what they did and even more messed up that this review isn't counted in their star average, so I've changed my review accordingly. Thank you for speaking up about this.
