We have been coming to the Bleeding Carrot for a number of years and have always enjoyed it, especially the West African Peanut Stew which is amazingly delicious. Sadly, Jim posted on Facebook on Oct 8 (2021) that the Bleeding Carrot Vegan Café & Juice Bar will be CLOSED for the foreseeable future, effective 4pm Saturday October 23, 2021. The property has been sold and another business will be moving in. Here's hoping that the BC pops up again in another location; in the meantime, I know that I will be visiting Owen Sound the next two Saturdays to enjoy the current Bleeding Carrot while I can!

We stopped in for lunch but discovered all-day-breakfast was offered! Awesome tofu scramble, delicate home fried potatoes, tempeh strips and fabulous mixed salad. Still full 6hrs later! 😋

Tried the breafast wrap coffee and chocolate chips cookie. All very very tasty. The decor is very well done and they have papers with tons of information for new vegans. Much recommended.

If you are looking for tasty and nutrient packed fresh juices, vegan chili, vegan soup or a burrito that is as delicious as it is healthy this is the spot for you. Jim's smile and passion for all that is living is a welcome bonus. I am a frugal accountant who mostly eats at home but the Bleeding Carrot is always on my shortlist of places to visit, definitely food worth every penny!

Just discovered this cafe (from HappyCow) and OMG it’s so amazing!! Small town cafe, the owner is such a nice guy! The food is delicious and the menu has so much to offer! Great Lunch stop, and I will definitely be back. The whole menu is 100% Vegan, great smoothies, Juices and Wraps and treats (bars, muffins, cookies etc). Also a little shop with tons of great products.

Very cool book store that was turned into a vegan cafe/curiosity shop. Open concept kitchen so you can smell everything that's cooking. Everything is fully vegan as of last year. The owner is an ethical vegan and makes sure that his morals translate to his business. The food is amazing. Fresh, quick, unique flavors. 10/10

I live in Toronto but my in laws live in Owen Sound. Every time I visit them I have to stop at the Bleed Carrot! I love the rice paper wraps, the tofu and peanut sauce have wonderful flavours. I have tried to find equally as good rice paper wraps in Toronto but cannot find any place better then the Bleeding Carrot. The gentleman who also owns the place is super nice and also welcoming. He is very nice and makes the experience more pleasant.

This is my favourite lunch place in the whole of Bruce-Grey / Simcoe County. Well worth the detour! The food is great, there is a lot of choice, affordable, mostly vegan, best vegan hot chocolate. And the staff is very friendly and helpful.

After a few days of roaming around southern Ontario it was a real treat to find the Bleeding Carrot in Owen Sound. The menu had lots of tempting options, and the food was delicious and healthy.

Travelling around rural Ontario I've adjusted my expectations when it comes to finding healthy plant-based foods. What a treat the bleeding carrot is! A respectable menu of delicious juices and smoothies. I went twice and ate their peanut stew and grilled veggie wrap and both were delish.
