Nice for lunch - Edit
I ate lunch here twice whilst on holiday and was pleased to see quite a few vegan meals on the menu and clearly marked. Food was tasty and came with additional salads. Lovely chocolate cake. Reasonable amount of seating and also an outdoor bit.

Nice place at the back of a bookshop (strange, but the cooking section has meat cookery books) Anyway, the cafe is 100% vegetarian and serves great main courses and snacks. Shame they don't do an all day breakfast. The main courses are quite expensive but OK for a one-off. Good range of teas and light snacks. Cramped seating area.

We visited York for the day. Found this place in the Vegetarian Visitor, and went there for lunch.
They had a good selection of vegan food, clearly marked on the menu. This also included cake!
I had mushroom wellington with potatoes, and generous helpings of 4 salads, followedd by a date and apple slice. Prices were reasonable , with large portion sizes. Friendly staff too.

Worth a visit - Edit
Although i did not have a main course the vegan selection was good and looked very healthy. All vegan food is clearly marked and the staff helpfull. I visited the place twice and the second time the coffee was served warm which was disappointing but this may just be a bad day as it was very busy. A must place to visit for vegans to show support for local vegetarian/vegan cafes.
