Mains are mushroom tagliatelle, sweet potato aloo dhal and a roasted butternut squash salad. Some dessert options are maple syrup poached peer, a lemon posset and a selection of ice creams. Vegan unfriendly

Beautiful location with views. Three options for vegans, the curry that we both chose we were told was off the menu when we ordered. We then chose the tagine which was small and tasteless and uninspiring. One of us went for the mushroom starter that could be upgraded to include vegan feta and to a mains size. They charged £13.90 for two field mushrooms, a salad garnish and some vegan cheese, we were robbed. When asked the standard is everything OK with your meals? I replied no it's tasteless and there just isn't enough food, we ordered a bowl of chips to ease our hunger, no reduction was offered on the price, just a sorry from our very good waitress who did her very best. If in the area, try the White Lion at Thakeham, stunning vegan choices, jackfruit tikka and bean cassoulet.

Nice pub with beer garden

The staff here are trying to offer great choices for vegans, with a separate menu and they are working on the drinks. Lots of different dishes and food was good. We're told the menu will change from time to time so would definitely go back

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Knowledgeable staff, Nice beer garden

Cons: Interior space is small, No draught vegan beer (yet!)
